Hi
I'm trying to figure out how to make the small lag stop when watching movies. I guess it has to do with the low fps rate in movies (24/23.976) ?
Of course it stops when I turn on the Pixel Precise engine on my Philips TV but then everything looks like some reality show, and I don't want that!
Any suggestion? Is it possible to get smooth playback without the PP engine on?
I don't think it's a XBMC issue but here you go:

From what I see you play a 24p movie at 60hz which is bad by default. Try to enable Adjust Refreshrate to match video _and_ fix the nvidia modeline to actually have a 24.0 and 23.976 modeline.
Despite that, try to extract the file and play it from local disk.
"fix the nvidia modeline to actually have a 24.0 and 23.976 mode line." guide me in the right direction please..
It has nothing to do with playing rared file or over the network. Same thing with local movie files.
Please try with the forum search first. I have answered that one at least 120 times :-)
