I noticed on all my XBMC installs that the movies library has not updated since March 22nd. I have run scan for new content and update library and it does not pick up any new movies that have been added to my folders. However my TV shows update just.

Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone know of a fix?

You need to turn debugging on, as mentioned in the debug log (wiki) link.
