I have a "ZOTAC ZBOX nano AD10 PLUS" with XBMCbuntu11, 12, and 13 installed My source for media is a Synology DS411j connected to my network, my nano is connected to the network via a cable. "11" works fine on anything I play on it. Since ver 12 my videos are sporadic and stutter.I thought installing 13 would fix it but it behaves like 12. Everything from the same source plays fine on my main computer using XBMC 13 for windows. I'm not a computer guru and have no idea what the problem could be. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks
Use xbmcbuntu v13 or follow that guide: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=174854
the guide you suggested is way beyond my capability with unix. Where can I find XBMCbuntu 13, all I can find is the beta? thanks
You get it only again much easier with OpenELEC: http://snapshots.openelec.tv
That is the version I installed "xbmcbuntu-13~beta2-1_amd64".
Good. then post a Debug Log
Here is log for 13, I could get same for 12 if necessary, they both exhibit the same symptoms. http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=170949
Thanks
delete ~/.asoundrc, restart xbmc and set the correct audio device in audio settings.
Thanks, I'm a newby to unix, but can enter code. Could you give me the commands to enter at a terminal prompt to delete the file? Also not sure what options are available for audio in settings.
I have done further analysis of the problem and found that any video I play initially advances a frame or two at a time when It first starts but if it is paused and then unpaused It plays ok from then on. Hopes this helps Thanks

rm ~/.asoundrc
sudo rm /etc/asound.conf
When I enter the second line "sudo rm /etc/asound.conf" it says it can't delete because there is no such directory? Also what audio device should I be looking for when restarting?
All fine, at least the first one worked.
Good News! All is well. The removal of the file must've been enough. All movies & videos work fine. Final question is whether there is a manual available for ver 13, it's pretty complex. Thanks again for the solution.
