I'm running the new Gotham RC on my Win7/64 PC, and everything is working great except I can't get audio passthrough to my Denon receiver. I had it working in Frodo and I've checked and double checked the settings, but I'm only getting PCM for DTS and DD5.1. It's multichannel so it's not a huge problem, but I'd prefer the Denon to do the decoding. Is there something different about the setup in Gotham?
Change the Settings Level to Advanced or Expert mode. This will expose the options for you to change. Otherwise a debug log would be helpful.
I do have Expert mode enabled as well as passthrough. Here's the log:

Are your Gotham audio configurations similar to my screen shot below?

Most likely a settings issue in the audio output options. Double check your settings and make sure you are using Expert Level. WASAPI output and passthrough.

And, you don't have debugging turned on, so your log file doesn't show too much information.
OK, problem solved by switching from Directsound to WASAPI. I don't recall having to choose with Frodo. And I'm pretty sure with any other player like MPC it's always been DS, but I could be mistaken.

Thx for the tip about debugging. Here's an updated log:

hi, i have an issue with the dts-ac3 decoding. my config is a minix x7 with a logitech z906. i've tried every option, but the sound wasn't right, the decode light didn't lit up on the receiver. then i've found out, that the number of channels must be at 2.0, now it works only then, when i enable the dolby digital transcoding too.
and with these settings my movies are stuttering. Big Grin
any suggestion?
How about your own thread?
that's a brilliant idea! Smile
sorry!
