Hi,

Iam thinking to move from freevo to xbmc.

My media library is quite well sorted, I have a structure etc. Freevo brings no auto-sorting mechanism.

To show some content in the menu, freevo uses

cover.jpg /folder.jpg files and
videofile.avi -> videofile.jpg files

along with that
videofile.avi.fxd -> contains info such as actors etc.

does xbmc bring simmilar functionality? I can convert the data files if neccessary, no problem. But is there a way to manually create an informational databaseHuh
we use

NFO_files (wiki)
and more info on image files
Thumbnails (wiki)
cool, thanks..

i got the cover.jpg renamed fine. how about the nfo file.

Is there any way to display the content when scrolling through the videos?

Yes, see adding videos to the library (wiki). You can either use online scrapers or NFO (wiki) files. I know nothing about .fxd files other than XBMC won't use them.
