Hi guys,

I had no issue whatsoever with my Asus slot bracket (optical / spdif) and Ubuntu 12.04/Frodo using pulseaudio.

However AC3 passthrough is not working properly since todays update to Gotham.
I just can't get DTS nor AC3 working with XBMC's passthrough enabled. I only get pcm passthrough.

I've changed nothing but installed Gotham update. VLC and Totem have sill working AC3 with no problems.

These are my devices:

Code:
aplay -l
**** Liste der Hardware-Geräte (PLAYBACK) ****
Karte 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], Gerät 0: VT1708B 8-Ch Analog [VT1708B 8-Ch Analog]

Any help much appreciated.
Cheers
aedon

EDIT!

I've just downgraded back to Frodo and AC3 & DTS are back. But still, it doesn't solve the issue with Gotham :-(
Did you enable advanced/expert level for the audio output settings, to ensure that all (neccessary) options are showing? It that doesn't lead anywhere - give us a debug log (wiki) to work with please.
