I'm a new user and dont have a lot of experience with these kinds of things.
I have a MX Midnight box previously Android now Linux. I want to upgrade XBMC from 12.3 to 13.0 but im not sure how to do it. I don't have any knowledge of Linux. Can someone help me out or direct me to a link please?
Also if I upgrade XBMC will my settings/streams etc remain?

Thank you.
Where did you get 12.3 from?

I got it from http://goo.im/devs/CronMod/ I flashed the box with the first link and XBMC loaded up (12.3), and then I just restored it with a backup I have.
Best you ask there then :-)
I was genuinely asking for help, I didn't ask for your sarcasm!
I hope one day when you ask for advice on something then someone isn't as unhelpful as you have been. If you had the time for your sarcasm you could have had the time to help me out!
Would have expected better from this forum!
All I am saying is that someone has written a specialist linux image for your arm machine, this is not something that XBMC provides as a matter of course.

The best thing you can do is ask whoever wrote that image whether/if/when they are going to provide an image that includes gotham.

So yeah, "ask whoever provided the image you have now" is not sarcastic or unhelpful. Sorry if it came across like that.

Sounds like sarcasm.

However, like I said I have limited knowledge and appreciate your response, thanks.
Thanks. I just edited my last post to appear less grumpy. There is a thread here somewhere that I'll look for re these boxes. If I find it I'll post back.
I found http://matricom.net/forum/index.php?topic=58.0 - think this is what I am looking for, with limited knowledge I guess il need you try flashing different builds to see what will work.
Good luck, I was thinking of this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?pid...pid1679168 but I think that is different hardware sorry.

Or this rather long thread perhaps? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?pid...pid1574359
Thank you, il have a look Smile
