My unRaid server runs an automated cleaning to delete .ds store files but I've noticed it's also deleting some other invisible files which I think must be associated with XBMC in some way.



Can someone tell me what these files are and how they are used?

Nothing XBMC does by default. Maybe they're from the artwork downloader add-on?

I certainly don't save them like that in the addon. At least not as hidden and they will also never be used named like that

Thanks. I guess they might be something generated by my Mac. Maybe thumbnails or something like that? At least I know that deleting them won't effect my htpc.

has something to do with the spotlight indexing of macs ...
