hi im useing xbmc on my laptop and watching flims via hdmi to my tv does any one no a way to dim the laptop screen so is black so u cnt see it on the laptop while watching flims thanks

I think you would do this through the laptops display settings - you can choose to output to one device, so just select the TV and then you should be able to close the laptops lid. You might also need to adjust the power settings as well so the laptop doesn't shut down when you do this.

Blank other displays in settings>system>video output might work? Keyboard Win+P might bring a window alive to swap displays?
