Is it possible to add a HD movie tab? like how you can add a tv show tab and movie tab. Is it possible to add one that says HD movies?

Use a smart playlist and a skin that can rename favourites.

You can name them anything you like as long as you create using smart play lists I have an hd movies folder on the menu bar

See custom home items (wiki) for some basic info. IIRC, some skins even give you an HD tab by default.
