I just reinstalled my ntb with win8. Before this, I had xbmc 12.3 Frodo installed and everything was OK, but now, after the reinstallation, I can't run any script. Every time I try to run some add-on, it says in the lower right corner: (for example): ERROR: Script failed!: plugin.video.befun.cz ... It's not the problem of befun, because it shows me this error with every addons: (for example): ERROR: Script failed!: plugin.video.twitch.... On my table PC everything is OK and it's working. I hope you guys have any ideas which could help me. THANKS
Do you have the same version of XBMC running on your table PC? There was quite a large number of add-ons that didn't make the Gotham cut. Firewalls can get in the way, router issues & on.. does the Youtube add-on work?

Yes both versions are 12.3 Frodo. Before reinstallation of my windows it was working also on my ntb. Deactivation of firewall didn't help. I have installed McAfee security - I didn't have any antivir before this reinstallation - could this be the problem? Yes youtube add-on works. I have no idea wheres the problem. Any ideas? I'm not sure why you haven't made the upward step to Gotham, but I suggest you do, it might fix any broken code. The security software could be the culprit (temp disable this) but with the youtube add-on working fine, it points back at the various add-ons and perhaps an internal library update has done more damage than you know. I could go on about add-ons from 3rd party sources and some of the programming rules they break, and how should stick to the official repository add-ons, but I'm sure you know that.
Suggestion: If you're not too deep in Frodo, install the Gotham build as a new install.Delete or rename your program folder, and the roaming folder. Install Gotham as a new build and carefully add the plugins one at a time and ensure their functionality along with the rest of XBMC.
I didn't mention that first XBMC I installed on my ntb after reinstalling my windows was Gotham. However I had this problem so I realized it might be caused because my czech repository is not working with Gotham, so I uninstalled Gotham, found my old Frodo installer in my table PC and installed it on my ntb, but this problem remained. Do I need any "supporting" programs to run XBMC? I'm thinking about if it isn't caused because I don't have any "accompanying" programs installed. I'm sorry for my bad english and I hope you know what I think. I'm not very experienced with XBMC I'm quite a novice here so if you think it is some kind of "expert" problem and I have to change some codes or something like that, I think I'm f***ed. :-D I'm so glad for your tips man.
No XBMC comes ready standalone and works on multiple platforms, while each instance does take advantage of O/S installed routines such as direct X, everything comes in the box ready to go. From what I can deduce, your set-up is fine.... running Youtube as an add-on is the proof of that. You may have lost library overwrites that 3rd party add-ons might alter or arrange differently, so my advice would say to be cautious of the add-ons you install. Use Gotham, it's fully supported now, and pick out the individual add-ons that are no longer responding correctly and address the author of the add-on or forum for the solve. This doesn't look like a XBMC or skin issue at this point.
If you want to pursue this matter further, you will have to supply a proper debug-log pasted to a paste-bin and linked back to this message while encountering the error of which you speak.
Well, I uninstalled Frodo, uninstalled security software, turned off firewall. Then I downloaded Gotham and installed it. Now It says error of version check instantly when I run Gotham, but program runs. I installed Twitch and Youtube add-ons to try if it works. It doesn't. Now on Gotham I can't run anything, nor Youtube which worked on Frodo. I'm so confused about this. Here is my XBMC.log if it could help. There's a second log named XBMC.old.log. If you want it also I can post it here.

I suspect your troubles are an incomplete removal of your old set-up, the usual villain is the roaming folder with the user files.
1) delete or rename C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC
2) delete or rename C:\Users\PatK\AppData\Roaming\XBMC
A full install of Gotham 13.1 should bring you a fully working XBMC, test it and configure it before you start adding anything. Provide your sources and set-up the scrapers. Cautiously add your add-ons one at a time testing along the way and see which add-on scrambles your set-up. I suggest you stick to add-ons in the official XBMC.org repository.
If this fails, provide a proper debug posted to a paste-bin and linked to this message.
