I have posted about this before, and i see lots of first time users with an android device have similar problems at this step. Not understanding, they have to change mode to advanced and then enable this before they can use a remote control on xbmc virtual keyboard

Why is this option not on by default ? Since the inception of cheap setup boxes, i am sure a lot of people will be using xbmc with a standard remote control.

What is the drawback of having this enabled by default?

No drawbacks that I know of.
Actually, I don't even know why there is such an option, i.e. what does leaving it unchecked achieves...

Please make it default its a huge problem. i enabled it and remove it from settings, i really try to understand why this option is there, when no real benefit. is to this.

The remote controls dont work on ANY android or similar devices that use remote control for virtual keyboard. when this option is disabled.

its a real pain for users.
