I have the Mx2 unit
When I started to use Gotham 13.0 I was not able to use the basic remote to use in any search field.

I have moved up to Gotham 13.1 and still have the same issue can not use the basic remote to do searched.

I can use a USB mini keyboard mouse combo. Dongle type
OR
A full sized a USB full size keyboard mouse combo. Dongle type
OR
I can use any iPad or Android tablet.
They all work great except the standard remote.

I hope this it in the right field as I was not able to find any other basic remote issue on the forum. Maybe I was not looking hard enough.

As in, when a search field comes up (and therefore the on screen keyboard), the remote doesn't work? This can usually be fixed by toggling "Remote send key presses" (or whatever the item is called) in Settings > System > Input Devices.

yes search field..
Yes can not use the standard Mx2 remote to type letters and numbers..
I can only use the OK button to press DONE..
I have no problem using a mini keyboard a full keyboard with a dongle USB..
I have no problem using a Android or iPad tablet to control the keyboard..

I went to Settings > System > Input Devices turned every thing on and still the standard remote can not select the ABC or 123 on the search field on the screen keyboard..

Other than that the standard remote works as it should..
