Full Version: DVI Video Interference

Hi all,
I have an intermittent problem that I hope you can help with.
I am using an Acer Aspire L3600 with XBMCbuntu Gotham which has a DVI 24+1 connector fitted with a DVI to HDMI cable through to a Sony Bravia TV.
Every so often, mainly at boot up but occasionally when a video file starts playing I get video interference, snow on the screen, extreem changes in colour and picture going off and on. The only way to solve iid to reboot the system.
I have searched for an answer but all I can find is a similar issue with Rasberry Pi http://www.deviousweb.com/it-blogs/raspb...e-shooting "Interference visible on a HDMI or DVI monitor"
They attribute the problem to a low output voltage and recommend changing a configuration file to boost the voltage. The file appears to be specific to the PI so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Thanks

Jd
Bad cable? Tried it on a different TV?
Tried a different cable, same results!
