Hello,

i purchased a beaglebone (Rev C) and downloaded xbmc, which was uncomplicated. But when i try to start xvmc, it tells me, that it just cannot start xbmc : "xvmc cannot run unless the screen color depth is 24bit"

When i start the executable (/usr/bin/xbmc) xvmc is starting, but then i have no mouse and keyboard, there it is useless.

I´ve already search the forum and internet, but it seems, that i am the only one expecting this problems.

regards
I "solved" this particular problem: i've changed the color depth in /etc/X11/xorg.conf from 16 to 24 bit and now xvmc is starting without complaining, only to go to the ned barrier: I can´t control the Media Center, mouse and keyboard are not working and remote controls of curse also not.

Is there a workaround in controlling the xvmc center?

regards
Ok, i followed the instructions for the beaglebone and got a new image, flashed it, all went well, but after the reboot, the beagle bone black is dead now.

So, i have now other problem than xbmc.

Thank you
