Hi. I am the owner of the NUC N2820 and am looking for a similar spec device for a friend. As boxes change all the time I was doing some research and I saw this NUC for sale for similar price and would like opinions on its performance v the N2820 . They will only use it for XBMC.

Is it worth it or should I just get the same NUC as me for the friend.

Thanks
Unless the price difference is huge, I'd stick with the N2820. The E3815 can handle most XBMC tasks, but in most places the price isn't worth the large performance dip between the E3815 and the N2820.
If they was the same price then go with the N2820
if the E3815 was substantially cheaper i.e >£20 cheaper maybe go with the E3815

Ned has said it, there is a big performance jap between the two.

BUT LOL

the N2820 costs cheaper than the E3815 by £9.99!!! and its sold by Amazon (scan charge £3.99 for delivery)

£92.98

I would only consider the E3815 if cost around £70

so its a no brainer, you probably didn't know it costs cheaper on Amazon. plus you know what to expect with the N2820. by from the Amazon
Agreed. To be honest I don't know why I even considered it... Ps media pi. Register with another forum and you can get free delivery on orders over £50 with scan. Pm me if you want the details

@ jammyb - I was not sure if you could link that on this forum, I was not trying to be secretive just overly cautious.
