I would like to create a B-Movie horror movie playlist for XBMC. I'd rather not add individual movie titles one-by-one to the playlist. Has anyone tried this before?

If you group them all into a folder called B-movies you can add a rule for the playlist to pull from that particular folder.

You can also use video library tags (wiki) + smart playlists (wiki).

It sounds like both of these solutions still require me to manually do something with the movies...grouping them in a folder or adding tags an such...correct? None of these solutions don't allow for automatic processes?

None that I know of, unless there is a genre b-movie in xbmc, which I don't think there is.
