Okay...found the bug... Sad I use the call of YouTube TV for updating the History...it isn't working for YouTube TV and therefore also not for the addon. I hope they will fix this...because here is nothing a can do Sad

Thank you for the info. It's a shame this one instance doesn't work.
After 5.0.8~beta2 update, The addon refreshes periodically and automatically resets to Media info 2 view no matter how many times I set it to another view. After the update it made me redo settup/login process again but that's not a biggie like the layout and constant refresh.

Sounds like you have some old data or addon flying around. Do you used the YouTube forwarder or the patched YouTube of learninggit? This addons have all higher version numbers and can maybe conflict with the mechanism of XBMC/KODI. Try to sort out old YouTube addons in your addon folder or do a fresh install.

I think it's best to remove both Youtube addons and the forwarder, then from the Bromix repository install the latest addon.

Thanks, that is what I did and it all seems to work just fine on both Helix and Gotham.
(2015-03-02, 17:49)bromix Wrote: [ -> ]For now I support the old calls/urls of the other addon, so older addons which require YouTube will work. But starting with KODI 15.X I will start to drop this support, because the old url-calls are a pain. URIs are so much powerfull, but the old calling-conventions doesn't make any use of it Sad

Ah, I see. Well now that your YouTube addon is the official one, other addons will update their URIs accordingly.

I get script error when there is no internet connection. Check your internet configuration make sure it is working.
thanks, but if there would be no internet connection:

- I would not have been able to load the youtube plugin
- the newsticker on the main menu would not work
- the youtube video search would not work
- the small thumbnails of the videos would not load.

But all these things DO load.

Therefore an internet connection is established (imho)

Mhmmm...I can't see anything strange now only this:
Code:
20:51:46 T:140014215735168  NOTICE: WARNING: unsupported ffmpeg version detected

But this is not the problem. I have to take a look tomorrow and improve some error handling....for some reason you aren't getting any information for any video.
Thanks,

the file I downloaded is this one:

[Stable] OpenELEC 5.0.5 (x86_64) Diskimage

directly from:

If I can gice you more infos, I'm glad to assist.
Received an automatic Update of the Youtube Addon and now the issue is fixed.
