Full Version: Movie scan no longer working

I'm having trouble getting XBMC to find new movies as they appear in my Movies share. This was never a problem until very recently. I realize the scan for new content option is gone when viewing the Movies library, but even when I go to Videos > Files > Movies and scan for new content there, all I see is "Scanning movies using the Movie Database" for a few seconds (very briefly, this used to take longer) and it finds nothing. However, there are new movies in the folder. If I browse to them and pull up Movie Information manually, they get added to the library. I've tried reboots, I've tried scanning from everywhere I can think of. Nothing works automatically any longer, even with items sent over from Couch Potato.

I've tried checking XBMC.log and I see no mention anywhere of instances where I've manually started a scan for new content. If I scan the TV library for new content (which works fine, by the way), I see these entries in the log:

12:41:35 T:139732821464832 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Starting scan ..
12:41:50 T:139732821464832 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Finished scan. Scanning for video info took 00:15

Those entries do NOT appear when I scan Movies.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong? It seems to have happened in one of the most recent versions of OpenElec.
The Debug Log will likely give more details.

I tried that and it looks like it's only looking at the very first movie in my movie share.

Quote:18:14:33 T:140699359426304 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Starting scan ..

So it starts the scan, goes to /Movies and looks at the very first movie, sees no change, and instantly moves straight to scanning TV episodes. I've had this movie in my library for a very long time and this only just recently started. The folder name is "The Burbs (1989)" and in XBMC it shows up as "The 'Burbs" with an apostrophe, therefore making it the very first movie when sorting alphabetically.

Edit: After removing The Burbs from my Movies share and cleaning the video library I set the debug log back to on, ran a media scan and checked the log. It didn't even look in the Movies share this time. There's no mention of that share in the log file. It just went straight to TV.
Please post a full debug log to pastebin.
