Hello,

I got some problems scraping TV series, because some will be scraped and others not. My folder structure is for example

video/Serien/Stargate SG-1/Staffel 1/Stargate SG1 - s01e01e02.avi
video/Serien/Stargate SG-1/Staffel 1/Stargate SG1 - s01e02.avi
...
video/Serien/Stargate SG-1/Staffel 2/Stargate SG1 - s02e01.avi

and so on. I'm german, so "Serien" means "Series" and "Staffel" means "Season".

The Problem is, there are eight seasons of SG1, all with the same folder structure and naming convention. But in XMBC only the season one to three are listed. It's the same with other series.

Another problem is, when choosing a sequel, I got the error message "The file is no longer available. Should it be deleted from the library?" (translated from German, so that's not the original message). Sequels from other series are available.

I've checked the permissions on my disk station, but all files belong to the same user, the same group and have the same permissions.

When choosing a season or a sequel from the folder structure (Videos => Files => Series) I can watch all of my TV series, but even not scraped.

Any hints for me? Thanks in advance,

Have you tried doing a Library Update? To progress this further you will need a debug log showing the problem. See my signature below.
We don't know what build or release you're using, which might heavily influence the kind of problem you are experiencing.

Upload a debug log (wiki) of you booting into Kodi then scraping the Stargate SG1 series - it will give anyone interested in assisting you pretty much all of the information they require.
Hello,

here is the link to the log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=276679

My XBMC Version is 13.2

I suppose the problem is the folder structure

If you have:

Code:
/video   (as the source)
     Serien   (first subfolder)
          Stargate SG-1  (second subfolder)
                Staffel 1 (third subfolder)
                      Episode 1 (file)
                      Episode 2 (file)

It means you have three subfolder before XBMC is able to notice the files. IIRC XBMC is only capable of two subfolders before the files are noticed. So you have to change your source to begin at:

Code:
/video/Serien   (as the source)
          Stargate SG-1  (first subfolder)
                Staffel 1 (second subfolder)
                      Episode 1 (file)
                      Episode 2 (file)

Try it with this folder structure and see if it works. Like it's shown in 1.1 in the following link;

http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Nam...s/TV_shows
One problem you have, is with Season 8 of Stagate SG-1 - you've named your season 8 files "Stargate.SG-1.se08e03.avi" when it should be "Stargate.SG-1.s08e03.avi" (there is no "e" between the "s" and "08").

Try fixing that and see if it makes any difference, to be honest it's not clear why seasons 4 through 7 are not being scraped correctly.

One possibility is that your Season 1-3, 5 and 6 files are prefixed "Stargate SG1" while your Season 4, 7 and 8 files are prefixed "Stargate SG-1".

Finally, you're library thinks it has two Stargate SG-1 folders:
Code:
smb://192.168.178.24/video/Serien/Stargate SG-1/
smb://192.168.178.24/video/Serien/Stargate.SG-1/
and the second no longer exists, so clean your library.
OK, this looks much better then before. I've renamed the Stargate files and some other sequels, which had wrong names. Then I've deleted the sources and added them again. Voilà! Laugh

Now I have some smaller problems. All sequels of each season are in English now, how can I switch to German? And I think the seriel “Battlestar Galactica“ is not scraped correctly. It's named like in TheTVDB, but only one season is scraped with thumbs of the movie from the 1970s.
Use nfo files for the tvshow (call it tvshow.nfo). Include the url for the tvdb series/language.
According to the manual I have a file tvshow.nfo in the directory video/Serien/Stargate SG-1/, which contains only the URL http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=72449&lid=14

But it doesn't works.
Name it as the TV-Show is called:

Breaking_Bad.nfo

for example
This is, what the manual says: “Filename should be tvshow.nfo (Exact, NOT the name of the TV show)“. See here: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=NFO...ning_a_URL
It should be called "tvshow.nfo".

Without a debug log, nobody is likely to know why it doesn't work.
You need to llook at thetvdb.com occasionally. Battlestar Galactica is the 1978 (original) series. Battlestar Galactica (2003) is the modern series. Name your files accordingly.
So, in the directory "video/Serien/Battlestar Galactica" is the file tvshow.nfo which contains only one line: http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=73545&lid=14, which refers to the german description of BSG.

I've posted a new log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=280532

At line 787 et seqq. the file tvshow.nfo is found, but an English description is returned by TheTVDB.

It's the same with Stargate SG-1 at line 2114 et seqq. The file tvshow.nfo of SG-1 contains http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=72449&lid=14
