damn, there was yesterday an update to the kodi main master branch only updating DXVA.cpp or so. This update broke seeking again, it seems.

Thoguh the symptom differs that kodi is not crashing but freezing now. it is 100% reproducalbe though needs a dozen of seek jumps ( i observed it trying to continue a movie, jumping near its end).

i will provide tomorow a detailed log file. am trying now to finish the movie and going to bed

final note before going to bed: reverting the last change to dxva.cpp indeed seems to fix the problem.

i think i'll open a new thread for that issue as it seems to be something else, only similar way to trigger the problem like the one from here.

Wait a moment.

DXVA is windows only - it has absolutely no impact on the linux platform.

Edit: Please provide the usual logfiles.
