xbmc started crashing in standalone mode, but it launches and runs fine in fullscreen mode (though the back slash does not work).
It started happening after I was resizing its window.
Tried un-installing and re-installation, but to no avail.
What do you think is broken?
And crashlog from your home directory.
The issue is still open - any ideas?

no idea what that means, but try to rename ./xbmc and try again, if that work you know it was likely some addon or something weird.

Some corruption who knows.... unknown causes like this happen all the time. Hence renaming the lot even if not a proper solution may be preferable to wasting hours on end trying to get to such cause.
You done your best and xbmc v13.2 is not going to get anymore fixes anyway, but you posted your crashlogs and debug log so if any developer is reading they can at least have some references to take this further.
As such maybe you want to mark this as a BUG so it catches some attention. who knows it may have been fixed in v14 nightlies whatever the cause was.
