I've installed Ubuntu 14.04 (minimal) and XBMC and have everything working great, except before XBMC starts I see a blinking cursor in the upper-left for about two seconds.
I'm using an upstart script to automatically start XBMC and have disabled tty1 (/etc/init/tty1.override = manual).
This is an extremely minor problem but I'm wondering if there is an easy fix.
(Also, I'm booting Linux using text-mode because the NVIDIA drivers display a warning message if you use any framebuffer like vesafb, etc)
