Hey guys,

I currently have a OUYA running XBMC and I hate how choppy the menu's are compared to running XBMC on my PC which is obviously a lot faster. I was thinking of getting one of these MINIX X8 boxes, they seem really powerful for a android box and can output 4K so my question is does anyone have one of these and if so how is playback and menu performance ect.

Which XBMC version are you running on your Ouya? Mine runs great using Kodi Alpha builds

If you want PC/x86 performance then it's best to get an x86 HTPC :)

Some of the NUCs and Chromeboxes out there are at comparable prices to the "high end" Android boxes, and I would say x86 boxes are a better bang-for-your-buck.

I was thinking of getting a Nexus Player once they are released.
