It is more work than you would expect and I don't have time, sorry. Give Amber a go if you don't mind having a different look.

As for square thumbs for TV Shows it is more work than you would expect to support it properly.
Have been using XBMC on ATV1 with Openelec for more than 3 years and I must say the Quartz skin is the slickest most user-friendly around...haven't been messing around with it for a long time, but now that I want to customise it a bit I have some questions...

Have been searching the support thread, but haven't found a way to change the genre icons..is there one?

I wanted to include movie sets in the movies submenu, so I created a playlist named it movie sets and added them manually (maybe there is another way?)..then added the playlist to favourites...is there a sort of rule to set in the playlist to include future movie sets added to library automatically? or do i have to add them manually one at a time?

what sort of resolution must a custom image be to cover much of the width in the shelf customizer (kind of like the one in the movies screenshot here..http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=115993 )

keep up the good work! great skin!

Movies menu->browse->movies->sets - context menu -> add to favourites

Hey thanks for the quick reply to the newbie! The movie sets method is so obvious now....embarassing....Still can you tell me if there is any way of messing with the genre icons?

Cheers!

You would need to edit XMLs manually for that to work.
Hi

I would like to know if I can add more customized menus, on top of the standard ones, Movies, TV, Music etc.

Thanks
Sam
Hi,

I have an Error with Quartz in Frodo. I installed from the official XBMC Repository.
I have created more Users in XBMC and when I choose a User which has a Password, the Dialog for entering the Password doesn't appear.
It is still working. If I blind type in the Password the User gets "loaded".

Could someone confirm this please.

Regards
Vlaves
Does this happen if you choose pin lock instead of password?

Yes I'm useing the Pin-Code. Didn't check useing a Password.
@pecinko thanks for the tip. I have been going crazy trying to figure out how to solve this issue. I posted about this issue several months ago. Here's my original post regarding the Master Lock post #1714....http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1220362

Since XBMC have stopped support for the ATV1, I had to install Openelecv3 and Crystalbuntuv2.0 running Frodo 12.2. I was having the same issues with OE and CB. Then I read your post and tried the "Full-text password", which solved the issue I have having. If I select the "Numeric password" option, I would get the long delay or freeze before the keypad box popped up. With "Full-text password", the dialog box pops up immediately.

I have a few questions regarding this skin:

1. Is it possible to add an option to display the date and current weather condition on the main menu.
2. Is there a way to to set the skin so you can see how much has buffered vs the playing position of a show or movie (similar to Confluence or SI02X)? I believe that is very helpful when watching a show or movie. So when I hit pause on the remote, I can see how much has been buffered before I hit play again.
3. Is there a way to set a universal view for shows and movies? For example: if I go into Icefilms and set the view to "List" I would have to do the same thing if I select a different plugin like 1Channel. Then if I go to my favorites and select Arrow for example, then season 1, then select the "Media info" view. That view mode would only apply to Arrow. If I go to Bates Motel, I would have to repeat the whole process over again. Same thing with movies. If I go to "Recently Added" and select a view, that view is only good for "Recently Added". If I go to "Latest Releases" or "HD 720p", I would have to repeat the process. Is there a quicker or easier way to do this?
OK, there's a problem with XBMC if zoom animation is used...

I'll remove animation and that will fix the issue.

Numeric keyboard should pop up now - please update to the latest version.

1. Date could be added I suppose.
2. It looks ugly when playing local media.
3. AFAIK, views thing can't be solved for add ons without manually edition XMLs or forcing the view by skin or add-on - all hacks.
Screenmenu "Android apps" can't be opened, xbmc is crashing.

As an alternative I did make a favorite from "Android apps" in the standard skin.
After opening the favorite "Android apps" I can see some apps, but after a few seconds xbmc does crash again.

Logs unfortunately doesn't show any problem related to skin.

I don't have android device with apps and have no clue what might be wrong. It might be as well be related to XBMC nightlies.
Screenmenu "Android apps" can be opened if I am making use of skin.confluence.

I did open some apps without real problems, so I don't think is related to Gotham alfa 1.
