I am running XBMC using a customized skin void of any navigation menu items. I have installed the plugin code extracted from the online repo on the machine running XBMC under the AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons folder. I have also ensured that addonautoupdate is set to true in the guisettings.xml file. The plugin version I have installed is just one version older than the current version and XBMC does not recognize that a newer version is available. I am not sure how this check is completed in code; what the criteria for updating the addon are. Some clarification about this would be helpful. Are there any other settings I should look at in order to ensure that XBMC correctly recognizes and installs a newer version of the addon?
