Hi Guys,

New to the forum but not new to Kodi at all!

Question regarding the add on ...

up until the last few weeks the add on has been working perfectly as i was able to bring the definintion down to suit my broadband speed (2mb so poor in my area)

But now this setting has stopped working and it only streams in 720 or 1080 which just buffers and buffers and never works smoothly.

Has anyone got a resolution for this? or a little explanation on how they have dealt with similar issues? cheers guys
If using a amazon fire the new nbc sports app works great

I'm using Amazon Fire TV Stick and streams drop out after about 2-3 minutes. Is there any resolution to this in the pipeline?

Tried older version and current version. Streams cut out after 2 minutes regardless of quality. Windows 7 Isengard 15.1
I have 15mb download and it still buffers. also tried all speed options without success. Probably their servers.

Is there a possibility to extract the main NBCSN stream (M3U8) from the add-on for use in IPTV simple client?

I have been successful with the Golf channel (url sniffing) but not with NBCSN. I know the content in 'Live Extra' is VOD, but I believe there is a master stream running 24/7, I just don't know if it is possible to code the M3u8 link in a way that it would read my login+password.

Thanks.

NBCSN used to have an un-encrypted 24/7 stream, but they took that down a couple of months ago.

Now it seems their iPhone app only shows specific events. I don't see a dedicated 24/7 stream.

In order to get the list of events you can hit an api to see what events are live.

http://stream.nbcsports.com/data/mobile/...e-ios.json

Look for videoSource.iosStreamUrl in the response to get the m3u8 master playlist. The problem is you need to be logged in and have a valid cookie, so you need to generate that first. You could do this and pass the cookie to ffmpeg and decode one of the streams in the master playlist (ie: 4500k.m3u8) and then you can start a web server where you output the decrypted output.m3u8 from ffmpeg and load that url in vlc.

If you figure out how to login and generate the cookie given comcast credentials please share. Otherwise you have to login on iPhone, use wireshark to capture traffic and grab the cookie passed to the master playlist.
Thanks Utuxia. I think the 24/7 is still up but now requires the cookie as you said. When I use Urlsniffer during the 'Dan Patrick Show' (on Kodi), I see an M3U8 that looks like it's a dedicated 24/7 stream, but it has an auth-string behind it.

I suppose an M3U8 query-string that provides the correct credentials to the master playlist doesn't exist (yet).
