(2015-01-19, 16:27)Olliepop Wrote: [ -> ]Buffering quite a lot for me recently. Be nice to have a log in capability with my NBC Subscription. Still a great addon non the less.

that will not fix any buffering issues you are having as its still the same stream..

buffering would be down to the vpn you are using, some of the cheap ones arent that good.

It could also be down to your local LAN, your internet or your ISP... Especially, if you are using wireless, I suggest you try a wired connection to your router.

I am already connected via wired connection and have a good internet speed. I also pay for my VPN. I don't have an issue with the actual NBC app on my iPad just the plugin that buffers a lot. Surely if it is log in only it may stop so many using it and might stop the buffering?? It worked flawless when it was 1st released so maybe now it's getting more popular is why we're having the problems??
With the vpn I use I don`t get buffering, lol even on the highest setting Wink

This has all been covered before if you took the time to read back through the thread it`s all there for you to see. This addon just links to the schedule thread & play-paths(no bypassing of any log ins). So, no adding the ability to `login` wouldn`t make a difference at all.

What device are you using is it the same vpn for your ipad? What protocol are you using, I found openvpn gave me the best overall speeds.I tried a lot of vpn & smartdns, both paid & free to find one that I was/am happy with.Perhaps your vpn is oversubscribed, can you use a different server in the US?

It's free to access the online offer because you already pay for it via your cable sub, a la sky go. Now do you UNDERSTAND?

Forcing me to comment again,lol...

You are failing to see the bigger picture,I call it one dimensional thinking, lol. When I first found this addon I asked myself two questions, how & why? So spent quite some time researching it.

Before being judge, jury & executioner I urge you to take the time to view the addon code & see it in action, then & ONLY then will we talk about legality Tongue

I agree with you, this add-on doesn't actually steal the stream in any way. It doesn't break/hack/crack or use any passwords. It just simply links to an unencrypted stream that is easily and freely accessible within a web browser anyway. The only thing that the stream checks for is your geolocation.

The only thing that could be said to be part of a paid cable subscription is access to the official NBC Sports Live Extra web/iOS/Android apps rather than the actual content its self.

It is most definitely a bending of the rules rather than a breaking of them until they lock the streams behind behind the username/password
Ironically I have just the opposite. I don't use a VPN but when I use the NBC app I get constant buffering. Too many for me to enjoy the games I watch, Since I started using the Kodi plugin I rarely have any interruptions, Can't say it enough though. This plugin has to be one of my favorite benefits for installing XBMC/Kodi Next to the ability to set up a DVR for my cable connection and the NetfliXBMC addon. Keep up the good work!
I use smartdns proxy, set up only router. Don't have a problem with the official app but buffers a lot on my Raspberry pi and iPad 4.

yup you need to play around to find the best server for you.

Again, most likely an issue with your Kodi setup or your device.

There is no difference in the streams between the two.

Hi

I've added the Xbmc Nbc addon on my android tv box. I'm using an 8 day trial with unnotely. The golf channel is working fine. However there are no prem games listed in the live & up coming section schedule. Even though there are other sports listed right down to the end of feb. Am i looking in the wrong place or do they get added closer to the time? I have 6 days left with my unotelly trial and I don't want to pay extra if I can't get the prem games working.

Can anyone help?

The games will show up on Saturday (possibly late Friday)

offcourse no prem league games this week so you will have to wait til the following week...
OK great. Thats what I was hoping. I just had a quick look at their main website and the schedule on there coincides with the one on the app so thats a good sign.
Hi guys

I have an Android MX2 box and I have read that these boxes are a littel difficult to get VPNs etc running on and to get the NBC addon working well because the box can't handle the HD streams etc. Can anyone advise if they have an MX2 box set up and working well and if so what VPN/DNs are you using.

Thanks for any help
Hi guys

Maybe a daft question....but I am unotelly on an MX2 box and while I can get onto NBC via my wifi, the minute I plug in the ethernet cable it freezes. Is ther a way I can adjust the settings so I can use ethernet as I am sure I will get buffering on wifi. BTW I also tria PIA VPN but would not work for me.

Any help is appreciated.
I was going to buy unotelly for 6 months so I can use it to get NBC Live extra on my Raspberry Pi. Do I need the Gold membership ie UnoVPN and UnoDNS or is it ok can I get nbc live with just the premium membership which just gives u UnoDNS.

It will work but in my experience DNS is more unreliable compared to a full VPN..
I've just tried with Unotelly, still get buffering on the Golf channel running at 1080. Is there a way I can make it run at a lower rate? Say 720 and try that?
