Unfortunately, I have edited the file and the problem still exists. Starts with the normal 'Opening Stream' window, that switches to "NBC Sports Live Extra error; Check the log for more information"

Are you able to successfully navigate to %appdata%\Kodi\addons\plugin.video.nbcsnliveextra\resources (Press Windows + R to get to the run command so you can paste this in)
Then right click on globals.py and open with wordpad
Find the lines
#if cookies != '':
#temp_url = temp_url + "&Cookie=" + cookies
Remove the #'s and then SAVE the file
thank you very much it took me all of 20 seconds and the addon now works again thank you once again guys ..
If you're still having issues playing a stream via kodi after editing globals.py as instructed, then try to play the same stream directly by using a web browser on the NBC site or by running their mobile app. Chances are the stream in question will also fail to play.
I found a number of such steams that would freeze in the browser or app a few seconds into playing whatever ad precedes them. Those streams would quietly fail to play on Kodi.

Does this work no matter which cable provider one has?
I have edited the py file and have a Comcast xfinity login but the football replays fail , however they work in the android apk with the same login so not sure if it's correct in the py file
Or not sure if this fix is to get the live games working only

That's not nice to hear - I have Comcast too.
I have DirectTV and I am finding that I have to attempt to play EPL replays up to 5 times (getting failed to authorize) before they do eventually play
Mmmmm, no joy on Comcast xfinity
Comcast/xfinity no longer work in Kodi, Direct tv logins are a bit hit and miss, most replays/live games will play on times
Using direct TV account now , still not much joy , get failed to authorise a few times , then working but ultimately fails to play

I cannot get kodi to work either with the add on. Tried to delete things as above but still wont work. cant load up PL games or replays using directv.
Nbc stopped there offical W10 showing live PL so somehow they have blocked this also it seems?
Would be great to get a working kodi app as the quality is super. I guess i will have to log on on the nbc live Extra website as now i dont have the w10 app or kodi app working.
