I need to change my router also to a dual band
It's not WiFi only my shield is connected via ethernet and works great
Hmmmm Well when i have used the App when its used by Ethernet it always asked me to switch so it can use data charges which is Wi Fi only. Which NBC Sports app you using?

It's definitely not WiFi only. There is an official NBC Live Extra APP on the Amazon store for those with FireTV devices, it can be used on a wired FireTV box or a Firestick. I think you may be talking about the unofficial APK, not the official APP.
Hi I've got the nbc app on my shield working spot on but my android q box upstairs not so good. When I click on a stream it starts to load then just get a blank black screen. Anyone any idea why?

My box is connected by Ethernet - how does wifi make any difference??
Also, nothing wrong with my speed and the picture via the app is poor (the official app by the way)

Well if there is nothing wrong with your speed then you should get a decent pic the only time your not going to get a HD stream if your net is not fast enough other wise you should get a decent pic

Well it is fast enough (used to get 1080 on addon no problem) and the quality is lower end of SD.
Well there is something a miss if you could get 1080 on kodi but cannot on the official app You would of thought it been the other way around
If people on the shield are getting a decent pic then something is deffo wrong lol

My thoughts too - I was thinking there may be a quality setting in the app but I can't find one.
Well when i got my direct tv account i was told if your wi fi is good enough then your pic will be ok cause im not sure what app im using cause i had to get it off apkpure and that app is wi fi only not ethernet and i tested my wi fi on my last android box and it was rubbish and then i tried via ethernet and i could not get the stream to play. But since i have changed my box to minix neo u1 the stream is great via ethernet cause i have fake wi fi

Where did you get the official app from and what box you using? cause the NBC extra live app is not available from play store i had to install APKpure on my box to install it from there?
