Is anybody being successful using the new activation method on a Raspberry Pi?

As I mentioned in the post below, I'm having no luck activating my device, and I'd like to know if this failure is specific to me:

(2017-01-02, 01:11)replayed Wrote: [ -> ]My plugin stopped working when it upgraded to a version relying on code activation. If I downgrade back to the 2016.10.21 build, everything works just fine. But I can't get the activation to work, having tried multiple plugin re-installs and device de-activations.

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me decipher the following bit from the log. This is what I get when I try to launch a Premier League replay once I've gone through the activation in a browser and clicked OK in Kodi to continue. It's a bunch of warnings, ending with an error on the last line:

For what it's worth, I'm running Kodi under OSMC on a Raspberry Pi 3.

My situation isn't desperate yet since 10.21 is working for me, but if NBC changes the site in a way that requires adjustment by the plugin, then I'll get stranded.
couple of questions that might help:

who's your internet provider?
what are you picking as your device?

also, sometimes better to give the full log... or atleast from the point the plugin is activated so that we can see everything it's doing (or trying to do).

Thanks for the reply.

My provider is Cablevision/Optimum.

I've tried several devices, including AppleTV, Windows 10 and Xbox One, de-activating each one before trying to activate again.

The following log excerpt was taken a few minutes ago after de-installing the plugin, rebooting my Pi, re-installing the plugin and then trying to activate as an AppleTV device, with no success as always. Every log reference to the plugin from the point I installed it -- although the install itself didn't produce any messages -- is included:

Thanks again for the reply and the interest.
i would try roku, i've had the most success with this.

is this the same log? still looks incomplete

No luck with Roku either.

Different log excerpt. As I mentioned, everything is included from the point when I actually installed the plugin. Presumably nothing before would be relevant.

Thanks in any case.
Hey @eracknaphobia

Pretty sure you're used to this by now - plenty of lurkers on this forum post. Just wanted to say "keep up the great work". And I donated you some "beer money" over Xmas. Haha.

I do from time to time have issues with stream buffering. Some days it works perfectly at the best quality, others it's like an arthritic donkey trying to pull a rock through a field in war torn Poland.

Otherwise, can't fault it!
Hi,

I am having some issues connecting. My setup is as follows:
Device: NVIDIA Shield TV
Provider: Optimum

Every time I authorize the device (works fine on the NBC website) the stream fails and when I try a second time it asks my to authorize again. It's like the authorization doesn't stick. I connect from the UK using Unlocator. No issues going through a browser so looks like it's something to do with the authorization process. Any ideas?

My log is here:

Appreciate any help possible on this one.
Im getting the same behavior as above, running 16.10 Ubuntu with Kodi 16.1

Code:

I got problems so I went back to the beta version still works perfect hope this helps.
Ive managed to authorise my fire tv but then the streams fail to play!
Do I need to have some sort of vpn running through kodi to get this to work? Im trying to access nbc sports add-on but im in the uk. How do I get this to work? Is there a kodi vpn I can install maybe?
You need a USA IP of course! You can use SmartDNS, better option than VPN, I use Overplay and Getflix and both support NBC.
@desigujju1 - please stop spamming this thread!
