I had the same issue with unotelly and every other DNS servoce for that matter. Using a VPN for the 1st time on Raspberry Pi 2 tonight and it's flawless on the Liv v Spurs game. I'm using private Internet access VPN by the way.

Setting a VPN up on the Raspberry Pi worries me, i've seen Cyberghost doing an offer for £9.99 a year VPN but unsure how to set it up

Is this at full/highest HD settings? And is this wired or with a wifi dongle? Would love to know!

I had the same issue with smart dns and I tried both wired and wireless and at all quality settings. A proper VPN completely resolved the issues.

Smart DNS works sometimes if its not too busy but especially for weekday evening games, it was almost not worth bothering with as it buffered every few mins.
It is HD yes and wired via home plugs. VPN on the PI is easy if you use the addon that's out there.
I am using connections through the vpn-connection folder so no addon, but I had trouble managing any of the two highest quality settings when wiring a rpi b+. Would only freeze at random times and as I understood it, it was not a buffering issue. I had to run at SD quality for the freezing to stop so using a rpi was not an option for me. Thanks a lot for the info. I have the rpi 2 on my desk at work. I'll take it home and test it this weekend hopefully during BPL Smile

Which add on is this mate?

I was also trying it on a wired connection on a Rpi 2.

I did follow a tutorial, yes. I can't remember where I found it (I think it was on the openelec.tv forum) but I remember it was fairly easy. You just have to remember that you need to ftp to the vpn folder rather than going through the SMB folder.

Yeah, you're right. I noticed a few minutes after I posted. I didn't know there were full rounds yesterday and today. Hopefully get to watch the newcastle match today! And I see I managed to make a somewhat OK starting squad for fantasy! Smile

I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing audio issues while using the Live Extra add-on on a Mac? I'm getting the video but no audio at all.

SOLVED: Newbie error. Simply adjusting the audio output settings from optimized to fixed corrected this.

I was also trying it on a wired connection on a Rpi 2.

I can't remember the name of it, but it's really good. It's from mettle kettles repo.
Thanks, ill have a read about. However using Unotelly trial watching the Chelsea game at 2200 HD its running flawlessly, i have however got a new PSU today for the Rpi2 as the other was undervolting. Maybe this was the problem, ill try the highest resolution at half time and reboot.
Hello - Just wanted to say firstly thanks for this awesome addon. Can't believe I never knew it shows Premier League! Big Grin

And also just so add another recommendation for using VPN over DNS service if you are having issues. I've been using Unblock-US DNS service for about a year, and SmartDNS before that, and rarely had any problems with the streaming services that I use. Except with this addon. Constant buffering after 3-5 mins without fail. Switched to Private Internet Access on my router and Google DNS on my Fire TV and the addon runs flawlessly. 70 mins into the match tonight and only a couple of minor hiccups for a few seconds.

Thanks all!
It's been flawless until recently. Tonight was unwatchable. Hey ho.
