Hi, I've recently started using this addon - and when it works, it's excellent.
I'm a comcast user and do not have an NBCSN subscription. However, the the free content appears to largely work. What fails is some of the Replay videos (I haven't tried live). All the videos that fail start with a commercial when I view them using the NBC Sports Live Extra app on my phone or tablet. All the ones that work on the addon do not start with a commercial.
After installing the addon, I tried to access some non-free content to force my Kodi box to be authorized - this appeared to work fine. I then watched some content from featured and clips - all of the ones I tried worked fine. Accessing video under replay - specifically full Premiership rugby matches, only allowed me to watch 2-3 month old games, and not the less than 1 month old game. Viewing the same on my tablet, the only difference was presence of a commercial before the game - the 2-3 month old games didn't have a commercial.
Looking at the logs I see - for the old games
and for matches with a commercial at the start
The difference appears to be accessing the commercial - when it fails a playlist is provided and the video is not found, when it works, the actual link to the video itself is found - which works.
In terms of config - its pretty much default, all I've changed is "Show only free content" and I've filtered the displayed videos to just F1 and Rugby.
I've tested this with both the version of the addon from Kodi repository as well as from Erack's repository, as well as with "Best Stream" set and unset - same outcome in all configurations.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Don't know why so many issue. Using from long time and working absolutely fine for me. Uninstall addon, Restart Kodi and Reinstall from this guide. May be your ISP is blocking content. Hope this will help to solve your issue.

It all depends upon your Platform.
For many this addon is for all intents and purposes still broken. This is because when the Author fixed the links, he also disabled the quality settings obtained from the url. Its very possible that the master m3u8 now has totally different quality settings to what used to be used, and what the addon is currently expecting to be found in the stream.
So for anyone who's platform (mine included) uses Auto Quality settings dependent upon internet speed, this addon wont play any links at all. If your able to turn off the Auto Quality setting in your Kodi settings, then yes, most links will play, but they are of a poor quality and stutter like crazy. This is proven by re enabling the quality settings on line 164 of the nbcsn.py
After doing so, many links from NBCSN will play perfectly in 1080p, however, doing this breaks the live links and all replays completely. The quality settings code is completely broken at the moment in this addon and needs to be rewritten entirely, and the Author has just simply made all things work ( for some ) rather than nothing working at all as it was ( for everyone ) This is the reason the Author for the time being has disabled the quality settings.
Once the broken stream quality code is addressed, this addon should in theory work perfectly for everyone again.

Unfortunately, the HowTo linked by @iambrunoben is incorrect - there's no place to enter username and password at least in the standard and author repo versions (May and Nov 2017) - I'm guessing, based on the screen shot, that its actually a year old and just reposted. However, to be thorough I reinstalled Kodi, added the author's repo, installed the latest version from the author's repo and had exactly the same issue. There's no difference between the May 2017 version in the official repo and the Nov 2017 version in the author's repo in terms of what I'm experiencing.
For platforms, my main Kodi install is on LibreELEC, and I've also tested it on two separate Debian PCs - all with identical results, everything works except Replays after some date in Oct.
The common thread I've noticed is if there is a commercial before the main video it doesn't work, and the addon version does not appear to be relevant. I've also noted that there are not as many replays available on the add on as there are on the app - it looks like something isn't updating correctly.
Anyway, it sounds like I am not alone, and as such, I'm sure a fix will be in the offing. In truth, its really NBC Sports Gold I'd really like to get...
