Do you have a source for this info becuase I tried a replay of the Man Utd match last night and it seemed to work ok. Im running Kodi on OpenElec via Chromebox.
For me yes. On kodi if I try to watch anything on nbc it shuts kodi down. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still the same
I've installed exactly the same stuff on xbmc as kodi so the only difference is the platform and nbc works perfectly on xbmc.
Like I say it's only my experience

I've seen a similar issue on a couple of devices now, both were Windows 8.1 devices but exhibited the same problem you describe not only in Kodi/XBMC but also on the Windows 8.1 app (with genuine logins) but weirdly logging into the browser version of NBC Live Extra worked.
The cure on these Windows devices was to change the mac address of the internet adapter, it was a simple fix on Windows but I know next to nothing about Android so wouldn't know where to start to advise you on your gbox
I run on a gbox q using vpnicty and it works perfect...if you have issues try using tvmc and go to addon settings and lower your stream..should help

Hi there......I have had NBC sports on my android T8 box for about 2 weeks now and on the whole it works great....great quality.....hardly any buffering to speak of.
My internet speed is more than fine as like I say, it runs great on the T8 box.
My problem is....I've just installed Kodi 14.2 on my high end gaming laptop and the NBC sports addon.
I'm using express vpn too.
Now I don't understand why when watching for example The Golf Channel on the windows version it buffers so much that it's unwatchable......for example, the golf channel starts more or less straight away, plays for about 5 secs, and then buffers for about 30 seconds.......it does this in a constant loop, making it totally unwatchable.
I then start the same channel on my android T8 box and it plays perfectly without any buffering to speak of.
Any ideas for me to try? Am I missing something?

Hi all...I've previously had no issues at all with this add on but for the last 2 days no love..keeps coming up with the old 'one or more files can not be played etc' this has never happened before and I don't believe I have changed anything! Running 14.2 on Windows 7 on a Brix...
Okay I have an issue whilst using an android device. I have successfully got this working with smart DNS on my windows PC so I know my DNS is not the problem. When I play an NBC video on android in the latest version of Kodi the whole app shuts down! I then attempted to play it through the current version of VidOnXBMC where it plays exactly 8 seconds of audio (no video and the NBC list stays up) before failing. Does anybody have a fix for this? As i really want it on my android.

Nevermind, i fixed this problem by downgrading all the way to Frodo!!
Looks like it's not compatible with the latest version on android boxes
