Looks like the response you were getting was a compressed "gzip" encoding. I've updated the code to handle this. Let me know if it still is giving you issues.

I tried, same thing. Not to worry like I said I'll try on my Pi and Android box later. I've a feeling it's my end. I am trying on 2 different Ipads at the min though. One is saying authorization failed and the other the login issue from the logs I posted.

Finally got it working. It was an issue with smartDNS, switched to VPN and no problems, thought it was my end. Phew!
Add on now working perfectly for me with a VPN and Comcast log in on PC, not with smartdnsproxy though. The official nbc app works fine on my fire tv with smartdnsproxy which is odd.
Just checked the NBC website and that also works fine with smartdns, very strange that the add on isn't.

this is exacty where im at. Login thru website fine, thru app on fire tv fine. thru the addon on kodi, nope not working. getting the "please verify login" error
Anyone have a cable login for NBC Sports Live Extra that they could share? I have one but it doesn't work for Formula One. Would be glad to donate over Paypal.
finally got it to work on android box,had to change vpn,it wouldnt work with hotspot shield

Maybe if we all report the issue to smartdns they can update something for it to work with the addon? Just a thought.
For those having problems with their dns not working with this addon but it does with various apps,
I notice looking in the nbcsn.py that it seems to be calling the ios streams (at least that's what it seems to my untrained eye),
people using the Apple TV app have been having similar problems, it might be worth contacting your dns provider and asking them to unlock the Apple/ios streams.

That won't work, your problem is the DNS provider not supporting the apple tv streams. By mentioning Kodi and NBC you're confusing the matter.

Does the iPad app not use the same stream as the ATV? Just asking because that works fine with SmartDNS.
