...Yes i use xfinity comcast. ....But i find it curious that while the xfinity captcha prevents it working with smartdns proxy, it does allow it work with VPN, wish someone can explain it to me.

I'm not positive but I'd bet it's because smartdns (or any dns proxy service) uses a single IP address per service (ex. *.nbcsports.com*) to spoof all it's users location where a VPN service gives each user a unique IP address. So on comcasts end they see all the dns proxy users coming in from the same IP address. This trips their limit on how many login attempts per IP per hour very quickly thus captcha is used to insure that it is an actual human trying to login.
Could anyone email me the NBC Sports Live Extra 4.2.0 APK for my andriod box as im having trouble getting it as im in the UK.
Thanks

I see, that makes sense then. Do you think there could be a way around it or is that just how it is?
Thanks.

If you want to use smartDNS due to speed issues, first go to the stream you want to watch using a VPN, once it takes you through the process and gets you to the single link to the stream you want to watch, you can then switch off the VPN and stream using the DNS service.

If you use a VPN to get a stream the first time, does the dns proxy work for other streams from then on? I ask because after you've logged in once you should have a cookie that is valid for 5 hours and is renewed each time a blue link is selected. The cookie allows the add-on to skip the login process and get a stream without going out to the providers site for verification. Can someone verify if this method works or not?

No mate that doesn't work, I just tried. I only tried using the full event replays because these seem to be the most difficult to get into. If I knew how to post a screen shot it would prob explain it better.
Update:
I just tried with the Dan Patrick show. Clicked the blue link (VPN connected) which then took me through to the other blue link to play the stream. If I switch the VPN off at this point I am able to play with smartDNS. If I go back to the full list and click the Dan Patrick show again now I'm running just with smartDNS I get the error. I'm unsure if once I get through to the blue link which plays the stream if I could now play without any VPN or smartDNS and it would just play using my normal Internet?? May try later.
Is there a approximate date when the Verizon login will be added to the list of TV providers? please say it is before August 8th. great work, great addon, everyone should buy eracknaphobia a beer.
