Full Version: Setting a Lock on a music folder does not hide its content in the library

If I set a lock on a music source the source itself is locked, and I am prompted for a code when I want to access it via the file view. However, XBMC/Kodi does keep showing the content of the source when in music library view. I also notice that there is no "lock" being displayed for that source in the file view.

If I do the same thing for a video source, those videos that are in a locked source also disappear from the library view.
Nice catch. Mind filing this on http://trac.xbmc.org ?

Sure, will do so tonight.
I created a trac issue here: http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/15506
Out of curiousity: any chance that a fix would make into Kodi 14?
Depends on what people have time for. Kodi v14 is extra-time sensitive due to our rename agreement we signed, so a bug like this might not get fixed this time around. I'm not really sure, though.

I understand. I really hope it can be fixed though, as it is messing up my "child proofing" Kodi. Don't really need them to listen to explicit lyrics.
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, can you give some more information about locking of sources to "childproof" I would be interested in trying this myself. is it a setting in kodi or at the sources level?

Thanks
If somebody can point me to where this filtering is done for videos and where it should be done for music, I can try and see if I can patch some stuff.
