I am not sure if the following is a XBMC problem or a PVR IPTV Simple Client problem.

Is there any way to remove the numbers that are displayed just to the left of the channel description in LIVE TV Channels? My channel descriptions are formatted as the channel number followed by the channel name (e.g., "709 KQED HD"). Having another number displayed just to the left of the channel description is confusing (e.g., "234 709 KQED HD").

There is no way to remove the channel number from the list, what you need to do is remove the number from the channel name.
