i didn't know where to post this so...
i wanted to know if anybody here know what the new kodi logo looks like

Nobody knows what the new logo looks like
i was planning to use it in a custom build

I've read that but it doesnt say which logo was decided
It says the results of the voting were released to only certain people

It hasn't been decided yet.

but the logo that you see at the start when you install helix, is that temporary? are they going to change that?

Yes, that's still the placeholder logo from when the name change was announced.

do you know when they will release the new logo?

I'd guess it will be with the new upcoming Helix release
