Is there a way to continue interacting with XBMC even when the application has lost focus? I have a dual monitor setup (monitor + TV) with two separate X screens that I'd like to configure so that one person can use the PC while the other is using XBMC. Unfortunately when I navigate away from XBMC the joystick stops working even though XBMC continues to work normally, with videos continuing to play, etc.
VirtualGL + Xephyr seems to work to this end, but it chews up CPU usage like crazy for some reason and prevents using VDPAU for video playback as far as I can tell.
Are there any way to allow XBMC to continue receiving input from a joystick after losing focus?
