Hello friends,
Not much going on right now with updates but there are some things going on behind the scenes and I wanted to show a little bit of what "we" are working on. All of this most likely will change since the design is not yet finalized but I thought it would be interesting to see what suggestions or opinions you guys had about this... I will be adding a Vertical Menu option to the home screen and it currently looks like this:
No ETA since it is very early stage but lots of you often have great ideas so please share them if you feel like it
I have to adaptive the old boxes to use in 2.0.8. That look nice as original nox5. Glad to share if you want it. This is the mod textures, you can use it as theme or change the name to "Textures.xbt" to use instead the original one.

Nice! Will probably steal these
Do you want to send me your translated strings file? If you are willing to update when I need to alter the contents it would be helpful to others that use the same language.
Thanks
Whaou ! Such great work guys. Il hope soon mrv widgets v3 and test all of this. Thanks so much
I love the vertical menu Mike, is it on Github for testing?

Way too early for testing... I have to add and hide/remove all the options that cannot be used when selecting the vertical menu... My slight case of OCD will not allow it to be released into the wild yet
I am also waiting for suggestions from the community and "others" before I commit to a final design. Would be horrible to let people use something only to change it possibly drastically before release. Your enthusiasm is encouraging though
Got any suggestions?
I know about that feeling making things perfect before release.
I also know that feeling when you release something just as you notice an error
I'm not a huge fan of the topbar so if I had that menu I would like the option to turn off the top bar. Then the weather and time/date could float in the top right corner and maybe use graphics like the confluence skin.
Would the submenu come out on left from the main menu items? If so would it be a horizontal line across or another vertical menu, my preference would be vertical. Same question for widgets as well, again preference would be vertical but it could be a choice for the end user to make. Hey, only a few more conditions to test
If you would like a second pair of eyes on it for testing, let me know.

Here is where design constraints come into play... I can easily separate submenu from main menu but to easily incorporate the two, simplification seemed the best so I could not add the infoline to the layout since properties do not work inside them, while this can be overcome, the outcome was a ballooning of the code and that is what I try to avoid first and foremost... The current implementation is if you have a submenu picked for the item the first click opens the submenu and the second will open the item:
Here is another pic showing the Movies submenu open:
As stated all of this is currently up in the air so suggestions and opinions are welcome.
My current opinion of widgets would be to center align them just like the main menu item. Widgets however are exclusive to Mr. V and his choice so a suggestion/request to his thread would be where that should go
Trying to install this skin. I have downloaded the Repo and only Lego, Maniac, and Avengers Skin show. I then tried to download the skin itself with the link and after installing from zip it says Repo installed and only the same 3 skins are there. If I look inside the Repo under skins nothing is listed. I have not tried downloading the GitHub yet as I am a little confused on what to do after the manual extract. Are the links in the OP for repo and skin 1.8.3 the correct ones to install from zip. I am running OE 5.0.8 I have Aeon Nox installed and it is working but i wanted a few extra Views I see that are added to SiLVO.
I tried search but could not fine a post about this. Sorry if it has been asked before.
EDIT: Please disregard. I am an idiot. I kept installing the repo. I installed the skin directly and it worked.
wow! That vertical menu look really great Mike!
Great work!

I would have to try the current build, but I would think it would make more sense to have the submenu items slide out to the right so they are separate from the main menu items.
I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure how to resolve the problem.
I'm having problems getting the CDART and LOGO to display on all the movies that I have the files available for. The movie meta data software that I use has been re-installed over the years and not always configured the same way. The following set of files work perfectly for the movies that they are supposed to work with.

The problem is that I have several movies that I have tried both naming conventions then completely rescanned my entire library and for some unknown reason the artwork is not displayed.
What naming convention should I be using for the best results?
Is there a tool / script that will scan all the directories specifically looking for cdart and logos then update the system as needed?
Don't know if it matters but I'm using the LowList in the Toggled Mode (Smaller list displayed). Additionally it seams that every so often none of the CDART is displayed and the only way I can get it back is by restarting the application. That seems to happen most often after looking at a Box Set but I couldn't guarantee that is the only time it is happening.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
