Hey Mike a quick question.

I guess I'm "that guy" but I'm running your latest push and I'd like to know how I can bring back the "choose art" button. Perhaps I missed a setting or something but IIRC I use to have an option to choose art right next to the reload button. I assume per requests above I now have a trailers button (which I never use) and a reload button. The thing is I sometimes need to organize my artwork for my devices and I'm at a loss as to how to do that now without a dedicated "art" button.

I don't even need the button per se. If there was some way to include a 'choose art' option in the extended dialogue menu, perhaps under Artwork Downloader that'd be fine with me.

Also since I'm here, I hate menu clutter. I have the trakt addon installed and one of the items that it adds to the extended dialogue menu is a "rate on trakt" that I never use and bugs the 'ell out of me. Would you be so kind as to tell me how I could get rid of that menu item.

If by "that guy" you mean an "Awesome Person who posts bug reports" then yes, you're "that guy"

I am guessing that you do not have the CinemaVision addon installed? Just pushed a change and I think you should be good to go now with latest Git. If not let me know.

1. Correct, I did not have Cinemavision installed. Installed your latest push and the choose art button reappeared.

2. Edited the ExtrasDialog. xml and that pesky trakt menu item dissapeared.

One final question about a recently discovered skin oddity that perhaps you can explain, if you know about it.I notice sometimes the movie plot (popup) won't show the complete plot for items that I have added. Say IMDB's plot for Movie X is a tad weak or doesn't exist at all. I may go to Rotten, find one online, or just use the Wiki synopsis. In those instances I'll paste the plot via the edit button, or in the movie nfo file.

Here's what's weird.

The full plot shows up in the skin itself but whenever I double click on the plot, to get the plot popup, what I'll get is "The Movie begins with Adnan ". That's it. It seems to break at that point. What I have been able to figure out is commas (,) from pasted text seems to break the plot popup. If you remove the commas, then you get the full plot but; for ex "The Movie begins with Adnan Harry and Dave entering a bank".

Its just weird. Hopefully I explained it well enough for you to understand. Perhaps, and I'll start making note of how I enter edited plots (via edit or NFO), pasting them in via the edit button triggers that comma bug. Its probably something like that but honestly I just kinda realized it was the commas causing the plot breaks about an hour ago. Not that I know that I'll make note of how I'm entering them to see which method is causing the break.

Try latest Git to see if it is fixed... I noticed some odd inconsistencies with the text viewer popup... I have tried escaping with '" "' and ESCINFO but neither seem to work for all use cases

Seems to work better, but the behavior is inconsistent. From a quick perusal, some of the ones that had display problems shows up with the full plot. OTOH, some, which may not (didn't note) have had display problems now don't show up at all.

You seem to be a perfectionist so I bet this bugs you. I'd just point out that its cosmetic thing that's really not of fundamental importance to the skin. Sure its a nice (cosmetic) feature, but the plot shows up fine in the plot window. That should be good enough for 99.9% of the users. So what I'm saying is no need to devote too much energy to this issue.

I suspect it had something to do with how XBMC/Kodi formats punctuation and other like stuff. I say that because, as I'm sure you know, when I look at a movie's plot in the nfo file a word like "society's" show up in the NFO as society's

Again, you've done such a tremendous job with nuts and bolts of this skins that something like this is of minor importance.

And i think, your silvo-skin based on the official one of bignoid, right?

Is there a chance, that the live-tv-mod from maniac will also be in your skin? If yes, when do you want to upgrade your skin?

The TV-Mod is already merged in SiLVO. Just use the lastest github version or wait until mikesilvo releases a new version, that you can install from the Kodi-GUI

Yet the information is contained in the file guisettings.xml

The whole menu has been redone. Everybody who upgrades will have to re-setup there main menus again. Unfortunately there is no way to avoid it but if you do not want any new skin features you can downgrade to the previous skin version to get your old menus back.

IMHO this should not be an issue. I have had to re-setup my menus countless times during coding/testing... in the end it should be quick and easy while providing much more customization

I'm installed the last version (github) and in my windows PC it's everything Ok, I do it any mods , colors in cdart and write cd in music and rss with largest fonts, and others things, most friendly for me, well.

That said, in my windows Pc it's ok but in my raspberry with osmc I have many problems, in config menu, I can't put any background, I can't modify the menus.

I think that is a development version, but this it isn't normal, isn't it?

It seems like this could be a reason I miss my update day target.
I probably shouldn't push a skin update to the repo if the required script version needs to be installed manually from Git.

Probably from the test xml's that did not have the skin string localized.

Exit/Close Kodi

If on Isengard open userdata (wiki) guisettings.xml file and search for this line and delete it.

If on Jarvis open userdata (wiki) addon_data\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\settings.xml file and search for this line and delete it.

Restart Kodi
