I know some people out there wanna stay in the past and all but... Some recent updates from BigNoid have given me what I think is the perfect solution to my issue with showing info while paused.
There is a new paused overlay created by BigNoid which I have added some additions to like time remaining, clearart/clearlogo/poster, and what time the item you are watching will end at.
You can use at pause and/or replace it with the current info screen. I have actually switched to using this as default myself since I prefer the look of it.
It has been awhile since I asked but if anybody has suggestions or ideas let me know... Fair warning though, this is supposed to be minimalistic and not have things like discart and the like.
Only for Krypton
Need opinions on things like the wait time cause this will NOT be user selectable and any suggestions for missing info (within reason OFC). I do plan on making a cast list available after pressing info and then select/enter/click so it is not shown until wanted but it will be similar to the one offered now, in other words a simple list and not some crazy panel with cast photos or anything like that.
P.S. Only actual Krypton testers please, you can feel free to comment on what is shown but if you haven't used it in practice then I think you should at least try it out first
so would that mean go into the settings or tweet super repo?

What Mike means here is don't ask for anything in Madnox because we were the only ones deranged with discart etc. and then some, plus who would want to copy my crappy code and waste their time making it better.

Ha funny... I don't think i'd make fun of my MadNox friends like that though. Seems a tad mean to me. Now I can be an asshole, I definitely can, but mean doesn't sound like the me I want to be
Reading this might seem like i'm being negative but it is just me being silly, hard to know how text comes across when inference can be so subjective.

Very nice of you to ask! I totally agree with keeping it minimalistic.
My opinion or suggestions:
1)
First and foremost: you know what you are watching, so there is a lot of information that you shouldn't have to be informed about
2) Size: please don't make it so big as the one on the picture from BigNoid, it shouldn't cover 80% of the screen (or make it a config option).
3) Don't show "You are watching".
4) Only show: title (at top-left).
5) Bottom Bar: current movie time/total time + progress bar. Then to the right: time left, end time, current time (24hr format please).
5) Unnecessary: plot, rated info, logos, imdb rating, media flags (or make them optional, to be honest, this should only be available when pressing the "info" button).
The bottom bar could look like this (please only look at the bottom bar, ignore everything else, this is from MQ6):
BTW, I'm extremely happy with your skin, I'm running it on a PI3 and it's awesome, it plays smoothly, I've recommended it to all my friends.
it's all good buddy, bit of banter helps us at the moment.

I don't disagree.
Was wondering what all that space between title and plot was for
I can add more labels for when users don't have TV Show Next Aired or the setting is disabled
I think the way you have is fine
(2016-08-09, 23:22)Savas Wrote: [ -> ]Let me see if I get this straight...
You are using an old version of OpenElec Isengard instead of LibreElec Jarvis.
You are using an old skin version that hasn't been updated in 5 months.
You decided to delete your Textures13.db file and your thumbnails folder.
How is any of the above my fault? If you want to go back to Aeon Nox 5 nobody's stopping you but the code used to display the backgrounds in both skins are identical
[quote='hoppel118' pid='2390546' dateline='1470753927']
LOL, ok first off no one said it was "your" fault so calm down, I'm not insulting your creation here. I fixed the problem, the world can continue spinning now. Though the update to Extended info script mod has made it so if I click Show TV Show Info I get an error, in my movies collection I have it set to show info instead of just playing so that leads to an error as well, "Extended info mod error, check the log for details". I know I know, you want a log right? not worth the effort. I know I should jump off the bridge with everyone else and update as soon as something comes out, like Jarvis, but everything on my system works perfect, I have no complaints, and if the backgrounds and now the extended info mod script hadn't given an error you wouldn't have ever heard from me. So again, not to insult you, or the skin you modded, there's nothing for you to get straight. Thanks for your help and lining things up for me. (Just so I got that straight)
Try uninstalling extendedscript.info and deleting the script.module.kodi65 (if it exists) and any remaining script.extendedinfo or script.extendedinfo-master or similar folders you may have in .kodi/addons
Reboot and you should get a popup asking you to install both extendedinfo and script.module.kodi65. Do so, reboot and extendedinfo 'should' be working again.
(2016-08-10, 07:57)mikeSiLVO Wrote: [ -> ]No, not at all. What I mean is that the only way I know of to change the location for the weather is to use the one control that can't be added anywhere else cause it is built-in to Kodi for that specific spincontrol and has no elements (other than look and location) added to it that tell it what to do. In other words the command that happens when you press the spincontrol is not known to me or how it can be used anywhere else.
OK, now I understand you. Thanks for explanation.
(2016-08-10, 08:12)mikeSiLVO Wrote: [ -> ]@ hoppel118 I actually do have a solution for your weather location change... I was going off of memory but decided to check the wiki and there is a built-in command that can be used.
If you add a submenu item to your Weather menu and choose Change action then scroll down to Custom and use Weather.LocationSet but add the number which matches the location... Don't forget to set a label also.
Example:
Code:
Weather.LocationSet(1)
That is for location #1 so for number 2 just change the 1 to a 2
Yes, you are right. It is an official keymap function. Nice, thanks for researching. But this doesn't work for me. When I press the new submenu buttons simply nothing happens. Did you try that? If not, it's ok, I opened an own thread in the weather add-ons section of the forum, because It's off topic here.

Thank you very much for your fast help and one of the best skins ever next to aeon nox 5.

(2016-08-10, 00:33)mikeSiLVO Wrote: [ -> ]I added them a couple of hours ago but is only available on Git until I push the updated skin to the repository. I likely will not do that for a few more days just in case I get any more bug reports (if any exist, but hoping not )
Hm... what do I need to do to install the version from git?
I did the following:
- downloaded the zip from here: https://github.com/mikesilvo164/Aeon-Nox...master.zip
- changed the parrent directory name within the zip file to "skin.aeon.nox.silvo"
- tried to install that file per "install from zip"
- got the message that I need "script.skinshortcuts v 1.0.10"
- downloaded script.skinshortcuts v 1.0.10" from here: https://github.com/BigNoid/script.skinsh...master.zip
- copied the parrent dir from the zip to "kodi - addon - script.skinshortcuts" after removing the original "script.skinshortcuts v 1.0.08"
- again tried to install that file per "install from zip"
- got the message that I need "xbmc.gui v 5.12.0"
Is the master version of the skin compatible to jarvis at all? Which dependencies do I need to install for the git master version? Is there a link collection where I have to download all the dependencies?
Greetings Hoppel
I think Master is for Kypton. Hit Branch and select Jarvis.

This looks AWESOME! Great work, dude!
Can't wait until OpenELEC updates to Krypton, so I can get it myself
Love it!
I would update to LibreELEC. OpenELEC has not been updated since May 1st. That was a Beta for Jarvis. LibreELEC is Alpha testing Krypton
Hi again @
mikeSiLVO
first off all: WOW -> At least there are a lot of nice fancy features for me compared to the version I had before.
A last optimization question: Is it possible to harmonize your record sign in all pvr views?
In the following views it looks nice:
- ActivateWindow(PVROSDChannels)
- ActivateWindow(TVGuide)
But here I see the record sign from the original aeon nox 5:
- ActivateWindow(TVChannels)
- ActivateWindow(PVROSDGuide)
For the moment I am quite happy with this absolutely sexy skin!
