I did add that just for you. Truly not being sarcastic, I added it just for you cause you are the only one talking about the Live TV stuff... Wink
Can I be proud now ? Wink :p just kidding. I am wondering if I am the only one, who is using LiveTV with master-branch and want to improve it.

Here are some screenshots from the mentioned changes: http://imgur.com/a/FFgrB

1. Pic from Estuary: The red rectangles mark PlotOutline. It is the name of the Episode
2. same as above, but with Plot at the bottom. Here you see the button "Als nächstes" which shows the upcoming event on the channel. This is, where I got the idea from Wink
3. New bigger Info with PlotOutline (red) and a possible area to show Plotoutline in LiveTV InfoBar (green) -> this is a new idea I had looking at Estuary. I don't want to copy Estuary, not at all, but PlotOutline in a smaller font in the green area is IMHO useful
4. small Info with PlotOutline
5. and 6. show the upcoming events ("Als nächstes") on the channel -> big and small info

I hope you can understand now the need of Plot _and_ PlotOutline Wink
If you want, I can do the new mentioned changes and you can review/change the code as you like Cool

Hmmm.... Screenshots unfortunately do not help as much as I thought they would Confused

Estuary pics only seem to highlight the differences between the skins and this particular one will never look like estuary.

I do, however, not mind borrowing from other skins but this is a mod of Nox 5 and will forever be Smile

I get what you are suggesting but before I will add PlotOutline in those places I need to hear from other users in different geographic areas using different backends (i.e. not just yours or from Germany) because I definitely do not want to add many options for every possible Plot/Outline combination there is... If this is all uniform then alrighty then but I cannot know that since I am not a Live TV user and also your pics show a lot of unused extra space for a long plot but even with the added short PlotOutline do not fill up that area which feels like wasted space to me Wink

Probably was not as clear as I could be so here goes...

Estuary is a new skin currently in alpha so while it is seriously (incredibly) well designed by smarter people than myself (phil65, Piers, and BigNoid) it does not have the years of use to take it as the gospel of current Kodi skin design but after they make more Kodi core changes to make it that way then OK but until then... I have to err on the side of caution in matters where I cannot fully test.

Hope that makes some sense.
Have just been updating some of my submenus and and found an odd scenario where I couldn't set the label on a menu item to be 2016 (have a playlist of 2016 TV shows). I suspect this is a skin shortcuts issue rather than skin?
I'm also using the masterbranch on Kodi Krypton with live tv and love this skin.

Quote:little issue:
- LiveTV-InfoBar is a little bit brighter than the PlotInfo-BG. Maybe you can have a look.

I love the brighter part, you can better see the program behind it, would be nice to change this in the settings like setting the color in other parts of the skin.

The use colored genres and lighter colors don't work in the minified epg timeline, only in the standard view, mini is always colored.

That seems like a weird bug. Can you post a debug log by enabling both system and skin shortcuts debug logging. Go to skinsettings > help > check scripts > skin shortcuts and enable debug logging then go back to help and toggle system debug logging on. Restart Kodi then perform same steps of changing label and post log here.

Not sure what you guys mean by brighter so will have to take a closer look.

Will fix mini epg, I forgot about it... Wink

Sure, let's wait for some other users, who are using LiveTV. Hopefully there are some Wink
unused space: unfortunately, image-blocks can't use height min/max to match the text length.

btw: I added Plotoutline to the second row, next to PlayerTitle. Then I changed PlotOutline in Small-info to show Plot instead . Then the user can choose, if he wants to have a big or small area to show the plot. The code to switch is already there.

Maybe BigNoid or phil65 can say more about PlotOutline in PVR?

Here is a pic where you can see the mentioned brightness-difference. I made the Infoarea bigger, so it is better to see

@Solo0815 Hopefully it is just that most users have the repository so some might let me know after they get the new update, if not I will consider changing it.

The difference between InfoBar and Plot background was fixed before you posted Wink

----------------------------------------------------

As promised...

The first beta for Krypton has been released today and with that comes a new skin update for those not already using the Git version.

First post is updated with a download link and the repository has the new version as well. If you do not see it then check for updates in the sidemenu of the Add-on Manager and if you get a warning about the skin being marked broken do not disable. It is only saying that because the skin was not in the Krypton section so it should be referring to the Jarvis and Isengard versions.

Hopefully no major bugs but if there are you guys only have 12-14 hours to let me know otherwise it will have to wait until Saturday at the earliest.

Enjoy Cool
minor bug?
I can't see any clearlogo, logo or other art (Poster etc.) in the new PausedOverlay (custom_1134) for a Film from the DB. The DB has all images (Poster, Fanart, clearart, clearlogo etc.) and all other DB-Views are fine. Also the images are in the corresponding folder to the strm-file.
shouldn't it be "PlayerArtworkVar"?

Edit: This are streams from amazon, maybe this is the issue and I will re-check it with another DB on another device with "real" movie-files, no streams Wink

I have no issue with that. Working fine here.

If using OG Nox 5 then that is not there, only in my version.

I'm trying to add something and maybe its not even doable. But I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone has had any success.

I'd like to display the Premier Date (Release date) of Films in the video dialog section of the skin. Say a basic swap-out between the current item (TomatoMeter) and replace that with the date the film was released.

I've looked in dialogvideoinfo and there is a "PREMIERED" section:

<label>$INFO[ListItem.Premiered]</label>
<label2>$LOCALIZE[20416]:</label2>
<onclick>noop</onclick>
<visible>!IsEmpty(ListItem.Premiered)</visible>
</item>
<item>

but on the skin the info isn't visable.

Is this even doable? If so how would I go about accomplishing my task?

Thanks.
Hi all:

I am trying to install 16.1 on android box, and have been tinkering for days to try to get animated posters/backgrounds to work. I do have an external drive hooked to a PC with movie collection and allow fanart/extrafanart to default to its respective directory with the movie.

I cant find the correct combo settings in the skin to make the animated gifs work. I have tried placing them locally in a folder called "animatedgifs" with in the thumbs directory, tried copying and moving them to various locations without any success. I have wiped out everything and started from scratch numerous times installing all extra scripts in the help section.

I can turn off extrafanart in the backgrounds section of the "Right" view, highlight a movie, select movie info, select "choose artwork" in the extended script, point to a location, local or an SMB directory, and they work great.

This would be a lot of work to do each poster and and or background per movie. am I missing something or is it something that the skin doesn't really support??

Thanks for any guidance, feedback suggestions

Oh, it's a pity, but good to know. How I read this timeshift indicator bar is still not implemented in Krypton yet:

I like Solo0815's and everyone else's optimizations to live tv, but I am also from germany. Wink

Greetings Hoppel
Found a little other thing in the views "list" and "lowlist" under music:

If the album has two or more CDs, I tagged the mp3 and id3 tags in the following way:

cd1 track1 = 101
cd1 track2 = 102
...
cd1 track12 = 112
cd2 track1 = 201
cd2 track2 = 202
...
cd2 track12 = 212

Otherwise my ipod sorted/mixed the tracks from cd1 and cd2 in the following way:

cd1 track1 = 01
cd2 track1 = 01
cd1 track2 = 02
cd2 track2 = 02
cd1 track12 = 12
cd2 track12 = 12

But now with 3 numbers in the track number I get the follwoing to see in kodi:

watch gallery

If my mp3 and id3 tags don't contain the information of the cd in the tag at the first place, everything looks fine in both views:

watch gallery

Is it possible to get a little more space to show the 3 number tags?

Sorry, I hope you understand and see what I mean. It's difficult to explain.

Thanks and kind regards Hoppel
