@mike, have you decided on implementing the overlay for the episode thumbnails?
Not decided for or against... Just thinking about implementation (where to put the option, ect...)

What code can I use to display a BG-Fanart for a Recording (MyPVRRecordings.xml)? I looked at IncludesBackgrounds, but I don't know where to add it
The code looks like this:
Code:
<control type="image">
width, height, aspectratio, etc.
<texture background="true" fallback="DefaultVideo.png">name_of_the_texture_here</texture>
<visible>visible_condition_here</visible>
</control>
Thx
You're weird sometimes... I know what an image control looks like
If you want to show recorded TV fanart you need the fanart to exist. Where does Kodi get the fanart from? Does your PVR backend provide one?
Once you know the what, where, why, and how then an additional conditional value to the GlobalBackgroundVar should suffice.
(2016-09-10, 07:09)Bama350z Wrote: [ -> ]I have just started trying this skin today and it seems nice but I am a bit overwhelmed by all the options. I am having issues getting some of the options to work such as I select icons and it works for a bit then reverts to text. I'm not sure if it is my box isn't strong enough for the skin. I am trying to install it on a Qnap Android based NAS. I am going to uninstall it tomorrow and try to start over but I do actually have a question. I see that there is an option for the menu to be centered or low. I tried low but what I would really like is to have the menu line at the very bottom of the screen, ultra low so to speak maybe. Is there any way to do this. My objective is to have as much of the fan art visible without a menu line running through it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You only need to use the options that you want, the skin should work just fine without changing anything. The extra options are there for those that want to use them
If you prefer a Nox with just the right amount of customization then use the base skin from which this mod is made.

The power of the machine has nothing to do with it.
I assume you mean when using an add-on the view reverts back to list?
This should only happen to crap add-ons that don't provide an option in there settings to select a view and keep it. If not, then the only other way I can think of where a view would reset to list is an issue with the viewmodes.db file or it was deleted.
No, I mean if I have the main menu set for icons it will revert back to text and so on. some other options revert also and when I check the settings everything is still ticked as it should be. By the way is there any way to lower the menu further than the "low" view?

That seems like an issue with your system saving the skin settings, could be not enough free space on your device or you are using some of those shit add-ons that delete stuff like fresh start and that maintenance crap. Hard to know what could be going on with your device cause it is yours and not mine
I do not plan on adding that option anytime soon but if you want to mod it yourself you can alter the slide animation to something else in home.xml.
Code:
<animation effect="slide" end="0,338" time="320" tween="cubic" easing="inout" condition="Skin.HasSetting(lowermainmenu)">Conditional</animation>
If you change the end"0,338" to something higher it will lower the bar further but if you use certain options then that will cause issues when using a lower RSS feed, the fanart title widget, ect... In other words do so at your own risk and if you encounter any issues you will either need to mod more of the skin or deal with some options not working or looking like they do if the menu was in the default locations.
Thanks, it's not space. I have over 8TB available. I have not used any odd addons either. I actually only have a handful of addons installed. IT was back to normal when I started it today so I don't know what's up..

hehe
Of course, this alone sounds weird
and I know, that you know what the code looks like. But I wanted to do a
complete PR for PVR-Recording thumbs, PVR-Fanart-BG for Recordings and a Button "Enable PVR Thumbs" (from skin.helper). That's why I asekd, where to put the code.
Then I'll do the "PVR-Thumb button"-PR and add a comment with the code for PVR-fanart. Maybe you can add the BG for Recordings then
I like the idea of Solo0815.
If you can make a mod section on the 3rd post of this thread maybe other users want to try also.

I'm using Emby Mediaserver for handling my Kodi database. The age rating in Emby is defined like DE-X instead like most skins do FSK-X.
Could you plz make silvo mod reading Emby age rating or could you tell me where I can change the variable?
Thx in advance ;-)

did the menu for the subtitles someday disappear, it used to be in somewhere in settings/video/subtitles or not?

If you can provide me a list of current to emby then I can add it to the Ratings VARs

If you mean the Kodi subtitle settings for Krypton then it has moved to System > Player > Language

Same place but you probably need to open the side menu and change the settings level to something higher if you do not see those options.

Hi, I am currently using Aeon Nox Silvo skin and I am enjoying the customization options available. After searching high and low through the xml files I am finding it difficult to locate where the code for the positioning of the widgets is and more specifically the amount of widget posters shown. I am using the compact panel poster widget which has 9 posters but I wish to change it to show 6/7 posters whilst still being able to scroll along. I would massively appreciate if you could point me in the right direction to achieve this. I would also like to keep the widget in the centre, thanks in advance and keep up the good work....
