Thanks for your support, Mr Silvo. Though I'd love to think I've accidentally found a way to break the script when people are using banned add-ons

Not sure what you mean but information will show a label on the bottom for Wall view. If you mean another view then please post a screenshot of what you see and what titan has that you would like added.

I really like the video OSD that is used in the aeon nox skin for plex home theatre. Is there a way to use it in Kodi?

Need permission to use, never got it, but you can always ask magnumdoomguy to make a mod for me since he has used lots of code from my skin. Not complaining the skin is open source and he gives credit every time so just would be nice to have someone do something so I don't have to do it all from scratch

Not sure what you are asking about, pics would help. The backgrounds are in the CommonBackground include in Includes_Backgrounds.xml

When browsing all my movies in Wall View, I prefer to have a plain background without the fanart background like this:



When I browse my Recent Movies, I want to use the Shift View or MyFlix View. With the fanart disabled, This is what I get in that view.



The way I was hoping to "resolve" this was to disable the use of fanart in the Wall View by editing the correct xml file and having that point directly to my plain background image (eliminating code that says to display the fanart). For TV Shows, I use the BannerWall View, and there I also want to display a plain background as well.

I have tried looking and editing code in various files, including IncludesBackgroundBuilding.xml and have not been able to isolate the section that renders the fanart background in these views.

Any pointers would be awesome. Thank you so very much.

PS. Is there a way I can set the widgets to update every time I enter the Home Screen? I believe the old Shednox had that option. It seems like quite often, my recent widgets do not update when new media has been added to the library.

I still am not sure what the issue is You post a pic saying this what you want and I see you are getting that result so let me suggest you delete all fall back images you have set in the sidemeny background option and just set a default and leave the fanart off. If you still do not get the desired outcome post a pic showing where you are not seeing the one image you want so I know where you need it to be changed.

Never added that but you can replace the extras > inro.mp4 with your own and adjust the fade animation in startup.xml to match the length of the video. I posted the instructions somewhere in the Aeon Nox forum so you can try the search option on the top left of each section/thread.

Icing on the cake IMHO

Always could be repos installing wrong versions of dependencies, wrong script version, any of the former altered in someway to facilitate piracy, or jiminy any damn thing that would not happen if they did not use that crap but expect their pirated garbage to be error free.

My current suspicion is that - in at least the two cases that haven't bothered with a debug log so far - there's an issue with the labelID being generated conflicting with the new code to not share additional menu's. Though of course I'm purely guessing at this point, but I can't think of any other code changes in 1.0.12 that would affect the sub-menu editing. I'll keep my fingers crossed I really have managed to break the script with banned add-ons, of course.

I have been using alphas, betas, and nightlies for many months and never had any issues but I do not change my menus ever so I will test editing and post a log if I have any issues.

Little SiLVO's are doing well. You and I have had previous discussions of the wonder of these times and lots of great moments happening :d

Personally, being a grandfather suits me much better. If one of my children had been given a commendation in their first year of school for "attempting to listen" yet not be able to say who they were listening to or what they said, I would have been somewhat limited in the praise I can offer. As a grandfather, I've been able to simply give praise to my grandson for his attempt It's so much easier!

I presume I get what you're saying and I am a hater of stuff like "participation awards" and the like... My 3yr old can spell his name multiple ways if I ask him. Alex, Al, Alexander. He can also count to 70 before getting bored so I assume it to be more than just a commendation for listening.

My honest assumption - knowing the young gentleman in question and his very short attention span - is that it genuinely was given to him for making an attempt to listen even if it wasn't a particularly successful attempt! (Presumably the idea being to reward him at his young age for the attempt, with the idea being to then use that as a basis for rewarding him further if he makes any attempt at listening where he actually listens. Knowing his mother intimately I'd say his teacher is fighting a loosing battle on this one )

I hate such 'participation' awards myself, but I also have to take into account that some people can only ever participate to the best of their own personal abilities

I am not sure what we are talking about anymore... I would never speak ill of your grandchildren or say any achievement was invalid so I hope that was never inferred. I was only referring to my own kids. Even if you never thought I meant this I know that text may not always translate well so I'd prefer to air on the side of caution as I have the utmost respect for you and yours. Like I said even if it was not something you thought about I felt the need to mention it to make sure

Nah, I'm just drinking too much and when I read the conversation and it switched up I got confused... Not sure if you remember but this is like the last time I made sure we were on the same page and I felt the need to explain cause I can see how my words could appear to mean something that was not intended. Anyhoo, yes Sir Bob, drunk Mike is a "silly goose head" (one of my wife's favorite phrases) who just doesn't want to upset someone he admires. You're just going to have to deal with being someone I admire, nothing you can do about that .

I'll introduce you to drunk Bob sometime - there's no chance you'll have any admiration left after that (and if you do after interacting with him in the forums, I'll send you some pictures of young-drunk-Bob - even I don't respect him!)

Hi I have found a bug on my system, not sure if this is known or not.
I am using Kodi 17 beta 5 and the most recent skin version (6.0.1).

where the error occurs

Now, when i am in the tv show info screen and want to update the rating it gives me the following error message:

I am no expert, but as far as i can tell the script tries to search for a movie instead of tv show or something in that direction? Is there something that can be done about it?
