Not broken. It has been removed due to too many requests to change it.

I originally added it to be different from OG Aeon Nox 5 but there are too many options and some of them are just unnecessary IMHO.

I always like the buttons to be at bottom and used to it years and years mate. Can you kindly re-add the feature as it’s just few line of code?

Hopefully you will understand. If it’s too much of a ask it’s OK and I will get use to new design.

I have not found a way to change it back in the skin settings. Or in Kodi settings,

Not sure what changed or if i did some thing but i think they use to be the other way around, that is the control buttons at the bottom of the screen and info bar at the top.

If this is the new default i guess i can get use to it, but if i can change it back how would i do that.

+1 for this.... I already like the buttons to be at bottom and used to it for years. Please bring back this feature.

Thanks Million. You already have the option to change it to top or bottom therefore people who like it at top can use the option and those who like at bottom can use the option too.... by default you can have it top it bottom.

Thanks again.

Just so you know comments like these might upset someone.

To be clear, I am not upset but saying it is just a few lines of code is a little dismissive of the time and effort some of these things take.

It was actually 31 lines of code that needed to be added/changed spanning across 4 files and then I have to test it and try all sorts of actions to break it like what if a remote user presses the Info button and then the show OSD button. Or making sure it works with every other option available.

That's the rub with having so many option... Gotta test all the possible combos.

It is available on Git now. I did not change the defaults so it should just go back to the way it was before the update.

I will wait a day or two before submitting to Kodi repo though but not sure if it will be accepted so quickly after this recent update or if the skin reviewer has the time.

In the interim I hopefully get some folks who point out other issues that need addressing cause it always seems like there's something I missed Wink

Thanks silvo. Haha. Thought I screwed something up again. Best skin evah!
might be a silly question Mike, but is it possible that once you make updates on Git, those latest versions could be available to update via your repo?
I just received the 7.0.3 update and noticed that the channel logos are no longer showing on the far left next to each channel name in the EPG. I forget now where it was but there used to be an option for whether the logos were shown next to the channel names but I can no longer find it. Am I being dumb?
@mikeSiLVO
Sorry to bring this up, Mike but it seems that the OSD controls saga has not yet ended Smile I updated to the latest Git and I can confirm that controls are back on the bottom but now they are invisible. They are still clickable but they don't show. See the screenshot below:

Image

I can trick them into showing though. If I move the mouse or press M the OSD control panel pops up but the buttons are invisible. But if I first pause the video then move the mouse or press M then the OSD pops up and the buttons visible this time and behaves normally from now on... except when it doesn't. I can't quite get a bead on it.
@mikeSiLVO

And I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but ever since 7.0.3 I haven't been able to click on the timeline. Before the update the clickable area was very small (right at the top of the timeline bar) but now it won't skip to the desired position no matter where I click.

I actually went back to an older version to get it back to bottom but it is 6. something.. I hear your frustration, I have almost tossed 1 units and returned another thinking I had hard hardware problems... Even thought I was infected.. I spent the last 2 weeks, every day, re-imaging and configuring units only to have them 'crash' in some way!! I almost called my ISP to get modem returned.. Everything was going haywire.. It seems every level of updates were taking place, hardware, software, add ons, etc,,

My thanks to you for responding to my plea... I use NViDIA android, kodi and my favourite skin... yours!!

Maybe you should set option to have user elect top or bottom... I never seen it on top before... It has become a habit and conditioning over the years..

I now need to figure out how to use the this forum/site properly as I used to spend endless hours, over the years, trying to figure it out by humble self and ocassional youtube video from someone...

I'll try the version 7.0.3 again.. I would have gone back to 7.0.2 but it was available for down load it the load more skins options..

My thanks again for your efforts and response to my post... Andy...

My thanks for
Sorry.. Not available for download...

Too much effort on my part with having to try and remember to upload it and which version number, ect...

Also in my experience if a user is not inclined/able to do an install from GitHub either following the instructions or using a GUI like SmartGit then I will not likely get feedback from testing which IMHO is what GitHub is supposed to be used for.

I only ever seem to get issues when it is pushed to repo but it should be when I commit changes on GitHub to help mitigate issues that are pushed to the repo so it's like a catch-22/chicken or egg situation...

I re-did the code to more follow Estuary and that has been removed cause I personally think it doesn't look good seeing the logos and then a big logo near the plot and stuff.

You can use the mini guide to see logos inline and I can tweak that if you think it is missing something but if you want the logos in the default guide then I'd really need to think about and get some suggestions on the look cause like I said above, seeing the logo twice... Undecided

Both issues should be fixed on Git. I forgot to add zorder and to test using a flippity dippity mouse...

I just went through all the views and I should of been more specific. The ones that I personally think would benefit from a centred and locked focus are as follows:

List
RightList
FanartList
LowList
Biglist
Logo (already centred and locked)
ShowCase (already centred and locked)
Shift
MyFlix
TriPanel
Icons
Landscape (already centred and locked)
Panel

The "Wall" style views of course wouldn't work if they were centred and locked. Wink
And to be clear, I'm only suggesting that the option be included. I wouldn't want to foist my own preferences onto others.

EDIT: I just downloaded the git update. I can confirm that the letter skip function is fixed for me. Thanks so much.

I started to play around with adding this but...

Excellent! It's now better than ever! The mouse seeking is now buttery smooth.

I use Xpadder and DS3 wrapper with my PS3 controller to operate my HTPC. It gives me the best of both worlds of controller comfort and the versatility of the an emulated "flippity dippity mouse". Wink

I really appreciate your helpful attitude, skill and responsiveness. Great job.

Thanks.

Yes, I previously came across that post when I was searching for a solution (before your most recent reply). Would you like to continue the discussion on that thread?
