It is from this image HERE.

If you want to play around and try to improve it, I can update it in the skin Smile

Created a PR with some changes to the image.. I did a quick check in my local and the view looks better now in my opinion.. plz review and see if resolves the situation discussed earlier.

Yes, but I was also thinking in listings, such as RightList. If you pause on a title, after x seconds it will start cycling.

I have already added this to my advancedsettings.xml, so the poster artwork is available...

I don't see a character art one in the Kodi repo...?

I never noticed the issue so I will take your word on it Wink
One thing I did noticed is the replacement image is brighter so I will need to fix that by adding a shadow to the text or some other change so you can see the labels better on a bright background.

That was the image from the PR you closed though so not sure if you adjusted it since then.

Added for DialogVideoInfo & RightList for latest leia and master branches on GitHub.
However I am not sure about adding it to the library views (listings) Huh
Will not be able to add for all views without a lot of reworking the code for some of them.

For now lets just see if it is all working the way you expect it to.

I can’t think why image should be any “brighter”. I used the image you linked and just added some Gaussian blur to the area where banding was more prominent and then a very light layer of some barely visible grain to further eliminate the color banding. Never brightened the image at all. Replaced the image in my local and tested - I could see the difference quite evidently.

The image in the closed PR is the same as in the new one. I only closed it because I raised it for the master branch and not Leia branch.

That is great. I will download and try it out.
I installed the update and I think it works great!!

The posters cycle through quite well after a 5 second pause on the title. It changes in sync with the fanart and I like the effect. I think the actress art looks better than the standard images.

Thanks @mikeSiLVO

Could be it was always like that and I never noticed but I have to fix it either way.
Any other PR's please put to master since I add there first and cherry-pick to older Kodi version I am still supporting.

Not a big deal or anything so don't worry about changing it cause I can cherry-pick either way Wink

Thanks for testing.
You got lucky with it changing by your fanart rotation speed cause I hardcoded it to the skin default of 7 seconds.

I will have it match the chosen fanart cycle speed in Skin setting from now on though.

I guess it's time to start adding it to the other views where it is "easy" for me to do so... Wink Eek Tongue
Does anybody, currently or ever did use plugin.video.specialfeatures?

I don't think it is maintained anymore so planning on dropping support for it.
I use the context menu Extras add-on.
I replaced 16x9 and backgrounds into 7.9.3.
The actress png's work great.  Movies & TV shows.  I don't see any rotate though?  I installed the actress png resource from the Kodi repo.  My thumbnails grew and populated in the userdata folder.  Nothing in local movie/TV folders.  I assume it provides one image per actress and it's the movie posters that are multi?

I'd be fine with this.  Also moved to Extras a little while back.
I've just noticed that IMDB is now scraping as 'United Kingdom:18' rather than 'UK:18'.  Which means Silvo displays an MPAA Unrated logo rather than the BBFC one.  Is there an easy way to get the skin to recognise the new longer naming convention?  I'm asking because I had to rebuild my movie database and all my movies have scrapped that way.

Yes only multi for posters and it won't be available for all views. I will not be re-coding a few of the views to add that feature. It doesn't seem to work right for the ones that use item/focused layouts without a lot of rework.

Working views are:
List
RightList
ShowCase
TriPanel
LowList
BigFan

I might be able to add it to MyFlix but no promises cause it ain't working up to my standards ATM but if I can get it to then... Maybe.

Only one image per actress:
Image

You can check or add to it in your userdata (wiki)
Code:
\addons\resource.images.actorart\
folder

What scraper is it?
The Movie DB or Universal Movie Scraper?

I can add it in the next update and have something for you to test in a little bit.
Original:

<value condition="String.Contains(ListItem.MPAA,UK:18)">BBFC_18_Certificate_UK.png</value>
Adding this:
xml:

<value condition="String.Contains(ListItem.MPAA,United Kingdom:U)">BBFC_U_Certificate_UK.png</value>

<value condition="String.Contains(ListItem.MPAA,United Kingdom:18)">BBFC_18_Certificate_UK.png</value>
That is all of the changed classifications, correct?

EDIT: Above code is fine with UK : PG / United Kingdom : PG just some kind of display error with emojis or something.
Do the skin helper widgets work with this?
I am struggling to find them and I have them enabled and tested in a different skin.

What I want is to have a widget that shows the next episode in tv shows we are watching. Similar to Plex's dashboard feature. Is this possible?

-------------------

Managed to solve this turns out i had something not installed even though it all looked right in the add-ons...

For anyone else interested I looked on the github for skin helper and set this as a custom widget item plugin://script.skin.helper.widgets/?action=next&mediatype=episodes&reload=$INFO[Window(Home).Property(widgetreload)]

This then forced an additional download

-----

Now to move over to this skin after years of using Madnox

I scrape independently using Media Companion and have Kodi use these internal nfos instead.  I imagine the Kodi scrapers will get caught by this IMDB change shortly.  Looks like a recent update.  Thanks for making the changes to Silvo.  I'll report back following the next update.
Added a limit option to the Widgets:

Image

Image

This is useful to keep loading quick and/or to have just a single screen without scrolling.

Keep in mind you are still bound by the content provider. Meaning if it is a built in smart playlist provided by the skin then it is a max of 15 regardless of the limit setting.
It also uses the max setting if provided by an add-on so if you use a Library Data Provider Widget the upper limit is set by the settings:

Image

Also useful for the Library path Widgets like for In progress TV shows or Recently added music videos. I think it can also be used for custom library nodes but I don't use those so never tested it...
