Full Version: mysql username ignored

Hi!
I switched from XBMC to Kodi. I also altered the names.
However the mysql username in advancedsettings.xml is being ignored.
I tried to set the username to "kodi", but it seems, that it must be "xmbc".
Otherwise I get no permissions to access the databases.
AFAIK you can take any username you want, as long as it still matches to the logged user in the mySQL db.

If you change only on the XBMC/Kodi side, I presume it's normal behaviour, that the name is ignored, as the user doesn't exists on the mySQL side.

But I don't have much knowledge of those databases. So I might be wrong
