Hi Is it possible to control your XBMC player through the web from work?
I believe I need a web interface add-on like WIMM? Is that right?

I have a Neo X8-h.

Depends on the xbmc distro you're using.

I use Raspbmc which has a native vnc server that you can connect to while away from home and control as if you were at home.

Other than that, depends both on the functionalities you need while away and on the fact that they're available through the JSON-RPC api.
